The little voices in my head want to go off on one talking about the connotations of Kyon being likened to Doctor Who (who was an alien) - but I'll leave it because I'm sure it's not true :C

I've been staying out of this discussion, but honestly, I say we just make it Jane Smith for now and if we really need to... change it.

This is a fluid project, guys, nothing is written in stone here.

The Doctor also has some slight psychic power. The TARDIS translation effect doesn't work without a link to him, and there's his slightly psychic paper, although I don't think that one is directly linked to him. Considering that the Doctor has also been known to wind up in different universes on occasion as well...

I bet Haruhi does. (Haruki as well, perhaps?) After all, there's that computer with Internet access sitting right there on that desk, and, as has been shown in the novels (and the anime, I think?), Haruhi does get bored sometimes.

Also, I tend to treat Kyon's knowledge as though he has a couple levels in Bard, if anyone gets what I mean by that.
