I haven't beaten it yet, but from what I've played of Rune Factory Frontier [Wii], it's great. It is my first foray into the Harvest Moon / Rune Factory series and I'm not regretting it!

Everybody gets bored with Harvest Moon after getting married and having a kid. It's like a metaphor for life or something.

I think the PS1 version is the best one. The PS2 ones (Save the Homeland & A Wonderful Life) was a disappointment to entire franchise.

Simple..

That's is almost the main objective of the game but as soon as you achieved this goal, there is no better goals left, unless you like the idea of making the farm a really nice place with tons of crops and everything, then you still have a long way to go..

However, what's the point of spending another 10-20 hours working on the farm when your goal has already been obtained?

Yeah, the main goal of the game is pretty much just to get married. But ToT added some things with the character outfit changes, and being able to interact with rival couples' children, which is sort of an improvement. At least it makes the game a little easier....

LMAO, that was genius.

Well, since Sugar asked, i always named the character with my own name, the dog with my dog's name and the horse as epona. Yeah, i'm don't have much imagination, hehe.

I haven't played any of the Harvest Moon games for a few months..

I am used to spending hours after hours working on the farm just to advance in the game as that the system is somewhat like TokiMemo except the only difference is that you do not raise stats, you work very hard every day growing fruits and vegetables to give to marriage candidates and friends but only problem is that you don't know who likes what and have to spend quite some time talking to them, while at the same time working at the farm. The time in Harvest Moon passes by rather quickly..

I have no imagination. I always name my animals Cow1, Cow2, Chick1, Chick2 etc. When I'm feeling creative it will be Kitty and Doggy instead of Cat and Dog. My main characters always end up as Jack or Bob or Mary, just for the rustic feel. If there's a default name like Laguna in Rune Factory then I stick to that.

To bad he doesn't like me all that much though, I only have 2 hearts for him, so I've got some work to do! XD

Ah, the chicks... I used to name them with the names of the girls i didn't get to marry. But now i just use random names. Since the cows are expensive i cared a little more with them, naming them with names from anime, like Shinji or Simon...

Jezz, i really need to get an imagination.

Yeah Back to Nature is definitely the best.

I just hope I never have to buy another copy; they go for $100+ AUD on eBay and that's used...

But if you have a PSP then there's always harvest moon boy and girl which is a (badly done) conversion of back to nature and back to nature for girls on one UMD.

I'm liking how Rune Factory doesn't appear to have that 3 year time limit on the story that the other games seem to have. Nice to be able to feel that I can take my time.

I really like the Harvest Moon series. Right now, I have AWL, AnWL, DS, DSCute, MM, FoMT, MFoMT and I'm hoping to get AWL:SE. I just usually end up abandoning my games, though (especially after I get married and have the kid).

But, is it just me, or are the newer games becoming more demanding when it comes to marriage?
