Okay, all you Primu-tards ( just joking, I'm lining up too)
Primula pre-order is out.... http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview....Y=NEOSL-11092# I can hear the sounds of a million wallets crying out and being silenced....

I mean, sure, they can remain faithful to the image this figurine was based on, but it looks funny this way. [EDIT] Quote:

I'd guess packaging constraints .... I am getting kind of curious how far they'll take this line ... and Ama or a Mayumi would be nice.... (though I'd rather see another Nerine in something besides a clown suit).

Yes... its in a queue behind a Motoko(Love Hina) swimsuit modelkit and the incoming Shuffle "all the girls" modelkit. Its a "clear" kit .... I'm still not sure how that's so much cooler (some parts are translucent). I *have* decided I'm going to buy paintspray kit to do these proper justice (brush strokes on skin really never works). My son and I will split the cost of the equipment (he does various miniatures (WW2, Warhammer, etc). I did archive all the pics on the e2046 site for a paint guide reference --- their colors are closer (still not as blood red as I might make the eyecolor though). I figure this is the only "normal looking" Nerine I'm going to snare (though I can still hope) so I'm being very careful with it.

There was a "gym suit and band aids" Nerine (out of print, watching for resale) and a "swimsuit" Nerine (also out of print, same) .....
Its like watching things happen in your peripheral vision ... but when you look directly at it, it is gone. <blargh> I'm still looking for a couple of Motoko figures that were put out back in 2000ish.... everyone must be happy --- may have to wait for an estate sale

Okay... this is odd .... the Shuffle! girl pack I ordered arrived yesterday .... I had *thought* it was a "paint it yourself" kit ---- but despite the misleading photos at the vendor website, they're all complete and ready to display Kaede and Asa, in particular are darn near NSFW the way their clothes cling ..... photos coming up later.
Later: Kaede and Asa --- both come with two sets of legs so you can have them standing or kneeling (as Nerine and Primula are posed) and then Primula, Nerine, and Sia (each has only one available pose). Quality is pretty decent for such small figures .... Nerine's eyecolor is still a bit off (too brown). Sia is a bit disappointing but the pose is happy puppy-like as she is. As I said, Asa and Kaede are darn near NSFW and got a couple of raised eyebrows from the wife: "I bet you're going to tell me its all about the personality" (she hasn't watched that series). Update: Closeup of Primula, Nerine, and Kaede (having some issues with the cheap digital camera and closeups.... reprint of Kaede and Asa coming)

Look what I found while image hunting. :x
I don't know when or where they're gonna be sold, but at least I found the maker's website. http://www5d.biglobe.ne.jp/~tohfuku/ |

I just translated the notes on the makers page .... these are going to be 1/8 scale cast resin kits (paint yourself) ... still very cool though. It also says something about this being a "garage kit dealer" --- which makes it fairly unlikely that we'll ever get our grubby overseas hands on it. <sigh> edit: actually, after further parsing... this appears to be a hobbyist's home page (albeit a very good one) and he acquired these from a garage kit dealer. blargh.... makes me nuts when I think about how many items are out of reach that are of this quality.
