I actually care less about the censoring, but wth is Basara blushing? As far as I remember from the LN AND manga adaption, he was not such a constant "blusher".

Cool Opening, both song and animation

From ep.1, this show seems to have decent budget level. Is this done by the same company who did Highh School DXD??

It's by Production IMS, best known for animating Inari, Konkon Koi Iroha (which has the best animation by the studio's standards), Date A Live II and OreTwi (the worst looking series they made so far). Speaking of how the animation is portrayed, I'll rank between Inari and DAL II for being worked so well.

Honestly all things aside the only good thing about this episode was the opening and the opening wasnt great either. this was awkward simple as that and it wasnt this way from the LN.

The MC reminds me of Issei from High School DxD for some reason. The first half sucked but that OP song is quite..well something.

Here come the awkward situations..
Especially with slightly different sisters.
Sure it offers the usual but with an interesting twist.
Yup, a fun ecchi-harem theme for the guys to enjoy.

Nope. Wrong series guessing. Those are just wings, it should've been devil wings but I think they wanted it more symbolic given that scene.

Although in my case I had read manga adaptation before this, but my impression is the same as yours of the anime. Scene transitions, pacing, direction etc all of it could be best described as "awkward" in terms of flow. Animation was pretty mediocre for an opening episode too. They focused a little too much on 'imuoto fetish" jokes in lieu of the more interesting background aspects and the whole "reveal scene" was lacking impact it should have had.

I still like the concepts (fake family, succession conflict etc) and premise of show since it's what makes this stand out a bit from out LNs of a similar type and does it buck some annoying trends (like the clueless protagonist, missing parents, one male all girl cast), but adaptations execution leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Okay...that wasn't bad. The art was a little shaky at first but came together quickly. Didn't skip too much and they really seemed to focus on the comedy rather than the ecchi so far and did it well. Hopefully they can keep it doing so successfully. Admittedly, it isn't a high quality feature however.
