I've been wanted to read this, only because I REALLY, REALLY like Mushi/Medama Teddy Bear's Guriko, and I find her and Seine practically the same in many respects, but I don't know if I can stomach that male protagonist, if the first 3 chapters are any indication.

Yeah Tetsuya is pretty weak-willed from what we have seen so far. He lets his emotion get the better of him, he fails to look at the situation objectively and take Seine's side because he is attracted to her and probably due to sympathy reasons how she gets "killed" repeatedly. That doesn't change the fact that she's a ruthless mermaid killer and an emotionless bitch.

You can't go on a genocide because of a few bad apples from that race, I just can't condone that action. Is Seine just stupid or evil without knowing it?

^ I guess it's something about aion being the life source or whatever that moves the mermaid, something around the lines of mana.
^ The real question is what happened at the end - Did she just spit on her to make her STFU or did she use some mermaid voodoo magic on her, possibly making her hallucinate that shimon never died, or that shizu faked her memories?

If the whole body before her head is really of that of a human, how can she transform into a full mermaid?

I think Aion is something special that only Sheila possesses, and Seine stole it when she 'murdered' her.

I think it just knocked her out, nothing special about it.

So Seine brutally "murdered" Sheila, took her powers, and used them to attempt genocide on mermaids . Sheila then comes back , is used as bait. Seine sees her nd unremorsefully becomes hellbent on finishing the job with Sheila's own powers even with her unable to defend herself.

Meanwhile, our hero is so whipped he fails to grasp the situation, and tells her she should get lost the nice way.

OK, so here are my list of people i liek in this series by order.

Sheila.

That girl childhood friend.

The lolicon loving woman.

The cousin.

Th guy friend.

Everyone else can die in a fire.

Also, bets on that evil twin lady taking the powers from mermaid corpses.

Well, I least I know what to expect from him, so i wont' as disappointed if I didn't know =0\. The "ruthless mermaid killer" part sounds fun though.

And I can't fathom Sheila to be evil, it's probably one of her sisters who killed that Seimon(sp?) guy. And it's also for that reason I can't sympathize with Seine. In fact, I dislike her for indiscriminately slaughtering mermaids. Sheila's got her throat cut when the poor girl probably did nothing wrong. When I think about that, I feel disgusted at Seine.

Something about "source nature". Mistranslation? Her sister says Sheila lost her body from the head down... what does that mean? Her head wasn't completely detached, right? And when the troublesome sister said how she used the corpse of a human to compensate what she has lost to survive. ??? And Shimon might possibly be alive. It seems the real sinister one is Shisuki. I think it's possible she fooled Seine into believing the mermaids killed this Shimon. Anyway, the most unfortunate one here is Sheila. Screw Tetsuya for being such a weak-willed protagonist.
