There are certain types of fillers I detest and luckily the vast majority of Bleach's fillers I enjoy. I hate the 1-3 episode fillers (which is why Naruto fillers were horrendous), but the mass majority of Bleach fillers tend to be fairly substantial self-contained arcs, the Bounto Arc and Amagai Shusuke Arc, and those are the kinds I can enjoy cause it actually gives me it's own story.

Either he's getting ready to retire (which it makes no sense to retire if your already a spirit that doesn't truly age), or he's lazy and likes to take advantage of his subordinates .

I, however, figured he was just saving it for Aizen, or #2 Espada whom he figured was old and powerful and thus a match for him.

Well, anyone that reads the manga knows there's little forward movement in the plot division, so it's not like there's any difference going into filler...

Besides, I think it would be a nice break from all the GARRRRR fighting...

Yes I agree. Them having a long arc with own story is more entertaining then just one or two episodes that are stand alone, although if it's some funny episode or have lots of characters I don't mind them ether. Like this beach episode that is coming, I'm pretty interested in it

Well yeah, Bleach has a lot of episodes concentrated in fighting so little break is good so often. And I'm not saying that everyone should like the filler, stand alone or arc, it's just that some people are so passionate about them that really get angry. Almost if their favorite character died or something

yyh had 2 separate arcs of actual tournaments, bleach has never done that

Well I can think of one similarity off the top of my head. The modsoul arc is pretty similar to that episode of YYH after the dark tournament arc where Yusuke's sensei(Urahara in Bleach's case) secretly pitted the main group against fake villains(the modsoul trio in Bleach's case) to test them. Plus the Bount arc was a lot like the Chapter Black arc, from what I can remember, such as the guy(s) who can control water to try drowning the heroes.

There's probably a lot more examples, but I'm too tired atm to think of any.

The reason fillers suck is becuase they are pointless...Besides entertainment of course...
They contribute NOTHING to the canon story so there is no need to really watch them...As for the Bleach fillers, they're not very good anyway...

I'm saying all this having watched EVERY Naruto filler...Yeah, you know the ones I'm talking aboot...No thanks...

It'll probably last one season (hopefully), which is roughly 12 weeks. Its easiest to just check AniDB and read the episode titles.

I heard there is not much manga material ahead.
It is quite possible they go for full 24-26eps / 6 months like the Amagai arc.
The Bount arc was even longer...

and the bleach fillers aren't THAT uninteresting. they're quite fun actually, at least for me.

I just hope they move quickly to soul society, and that stupid super hero thingy stays away.
