ITT, we bash Yoshino because it's cool to do so for irrational reasons.
I think the most important announcement in that staff list is this person: The VA list will likely be gorgeous going by her BL drama CD record; also in b4 Yuuki Kaji then you can all completely drop this before it airs |

Yoshino does adaptions competently if this were an original story written by him then there'd be a reason to worry. Look at Accel World, it's handled quite well with no issues from him. For an older example, denpa teki ta kanojo was pretty decent IMO. Guilty Crown concerns shouldn't be here.

I dunno if it wasn't for Accel World I might be pre-bitching about this show too but hes shown that he can handle adaptations well enough, its just coming up with his own ideas that has typically less to disaster. |

Well Yoshino is merely composing a script, he's not adding any lines. It's why I don't really credit Okada too much for adaptions like Wandering Son. Your complaints if you have any about AW are probably more geared towards the LN, or director.

Still, it's very rare that mediocre writers manage really great adaptations, even of great source material. They have a way of losing the magic without materially changing much. For all my complaints about Okada, I've never doubted her raw talent as a writer.

Also Denpa is probably the best thing Yoshino has written, but it's hard to know how much credit belongs to him when you haven't read the original source. Anyway if he's kept in line to follow the manga than we probably don't have a problem... if he has to change things up on orders (like Bund) or come up with an anime original end, like a lot of shounen shows... (FMA, Blue Exorcist, Claymore, etc) well Houston... you know the rest. |

About the timeslot though...I have a question. Does anyone know if any adaptions of ongoing manga that aired in that slot got a direct second season(I only know about a handful of shows that aired there)? Cause if not I have an idea of how I think the anime would go
Spoiler for speculation:
Though given that the manga is fairly fleshed out at this point hopefully it would be more of an FMA 1 and less of a BE |

How about staying faithful to the original source with anime original ending being the only new feature, à la Claymore or Soul Eater or just featuring a obvious stopping point like Deadman Wonderland but with an actual second season announcement ?
