Episode 229

By far the best episode of this season imo, too many lol moments to count

Best moments for me were :

- The role reversal between Sogo and Sayaka-chan, Sogo never saw that coming

- Pinko-chan's "transformation" although I had a feeling this was gonna happen if Gintoki was gonna win.

- Tencho

Also, that was some class voice-acting by most of the characters.

Rating for the overall episode? 9001/10

Putting aside the moral of this episode, I wonder how the PTA respond about this episode since many risque shot is there and this anime aired at 6 pm

I hope the staff can make it since there is still one very risque arc waiting to be animated

Anyway, it's a really great ep. and I'm really need Love Cholice now!

Yeah, Gintama has more and more scenes that are definitely not for kids and it's a miracle Gintama is still published in Weekly SHOUNEN Jump. While it's hilarious to me, I wouldn't want a kid to watch it to be honest.

Anyway, as for the episode itself it was good but far from being best episode of the season IMO. Looking at how pathetic these otaku are had some funny moments but in the long run it was so-so. One of the better scenes was when Kondou has given 100 points again and Gin said: "Gorilla! You just have a permanent hard-on" and the analogy with grown-ups who create their own illusions. The rest isn't worth mentioning, not bad but nothing special either.

I never thought I'd ever see Sogo in a M role

This episode was as funny and crazy as I thought it'd be. Tenchoris... how the hell does Sorachi come up with that stuff?

Shinpachi sure was amazing with his girl. Those two were amazing.
Gin & Pinko-chan... just so sad & hilarious at the same time!!! From beast to beauty, just amazing & kinda cute (#^.^#)

Wow Sogou got flipped into a Masochist role by the very girl he was punishing, I can't believe that happened.

Sa-chan + Dragon Quest + Item shop = Straight to sex, rofl.

...Damn Gintoki, having Pinko transform/change into something pretty hot, and on top of that she was a tsundere as well.

This episode was gold. It's amazing how Gintama can turn the most random and ridiculous plots into deep, moral-based stories that make you think the morals were "JUST AS PLANNED" and hinted at straight from the start. And then it always ends on a such a note that you can't take anything that happened seriously, in a good way.

Favourite scenes had to be the Dragon Quest adventure and Gintoki's tsundere. My sides hurt from laughing so much. And then it always ends on a such a note that you can't take anything that happened seriously, in a good way. Spoiler for Episode 229: I particularly found it ironic how a series like Gintama, which is pretty much adapts every genre of storytelling besides hardcore romance, could make a girl as appealing as post-change Pinko. At certain parts, she seemed much better overall than most female characters in anime that are entirely devoted to their females and to romance. Of course, this is just my opinion.
