they have the duplicate of the royal seal, which means can mobolize armies at will.

Meng Tian looks more like a girl in the anime than the manga...Im sure some people will think that he is a girl if he didn't start speaking. Did anyone notice that the "third power" has double meanings? Both Meng Tian as the third power competing with Xin and the harem as the third power in Zheng's political struggle

Nice job to stick it to Wang Ben. Meng Tian is funny. So i guess now begins Zheng's past arc.

I think Xin will get along with Meng, there won't be to much of a power struggle between them and shame he wasn't a girl

Im glad the Unit fall back to earth, It'll make them stronger and succed in their mission.

Nah, there are enough historical figures that have switched from male to female in this series. We don't want this series to turn into mindless moe blob sengouku type series.

As far as the third power in the court, I wonder how far they will stray from actual history to make it work in this series. This part of history was quite brutal as far as how events unfolded. I'm guessing the series will take some liberties to make it work.

Then again, now Xiang, the bed maiden, will probably play a bigger role. I'm going to guess that she will ultimately side with Zheng.

It would be pretty depressing for his story to end the way it did for the real Li Xin... Then again, given Zheng's historical descent into madness and his search for immortality, Xin wouldn't be alone in going downhill from his present state in the anime...

Of course, the manga could somehow change that, and Xin ends up being more amazing in some way. Sometimes the best strategy in the world cannot defeat an unstoppable force.
Li Mu is considered historically one of the 4 great generals... but Li Xin, despite his ultimate defeat, was probably a pretty important general too for China's unification. We know he was the big victor in the conquest of Yan and given that he was also pretty successful initially in his conquest of Chu with a small force, he was probably involved in other battles that weren't mentioned in the Shiji. Difference is that Li Mu went out on top whereas Li Xin lost an important battle that affected how he's been viewed by history.

As for the latest episode... did we just get another 2 year time skip? So Xin and Zheng are now 19? I wonder what we'll see from the Empress. Funny she hasn't been mentioned until now.

If you really want to find out how the story depicts the events about the Queen Dowager and the harem, do read the manga(when the english translation catches up). The anime will change the storyline slightly and remove certain portions due to censorship issues.

Regarding censorship, i really hated how they unnecessarily censored the part in this episode when FeiXin unit was hiding in the sea of corpses. Ang was supposed to hide under a corpse and the Wei soldier was suppose to stab right through the corpse on top of Ang, slightly injuring him. Ang bit his hand so he doesn't scream out loud from the pain(Refer to this page of the manga for those interested: http://www.dm5.com/m94142-p83/). Maggots were also crawling out of the corpse's skull but i guess this part had to be censored.

Li Xin loss was magnified to glorify Wang Jian's victory later. Li Xin was just one of the many unlucky historical figures that had their named tarnished in Sima Qian's ShiJi

And just to clarify, we didn't get a timeskip. They are still 17.

Hmm, I thought the sub I watched said that 2 years had passed or something. Perhaps I misread it.

I think it was 2 years since the death of Wang Yi. There was a short flashback about him at the start of the episode. Also he died in the 3rd year of Ying Zheng's reign while the Qin-Wei war happened in the 5th year.

But at the start of this season it was 1 year after Wang Qi's death. Unless they show next ep that another year has passed i still don't get the 2 year thing.

The translations I have gotten have said that the beginning of the season started at 2 years after Wang Qi's death. Hence, they all looked older (besides He Liao Diao). The current arc is still within that time frame. At most, only a few months have past since the beginning of the season, from where we are right now in the current episode. Also, when Xin talked with Zheng, they have 5 years to accomplish their current goal, which is for Xin to be a full general and Zheng to get rid of all opposition to the throne.

Hence, from the current episode, they should have about 4.5+ years (more or less) to go until the deadline.

So in 2 years Xin only went form 100 to a 300 man general. He'll have to work a lot harder if he wants to be a full general in 5 years.

I think he went from 100 to 300 men commander immediately after the end of the Qin-Zhao war previously, though the exact timing wasn't mentioned.

According to history, the Qin-Zhao alliance was formed 1 year after Wang Qi's death and the invasion of Wei started a year after that. Probably should go back to episode 1 to confirm this but im too lazy lol

based on A-D subs
"its been two years since the last of the Six Great Generals"

timeline:
episode 1: Wang Qi death Remembered a year earlier
episode 2-3: Zhao-Qin Alliance, Xin-Zheng Meeting
probaly a year later.....
As of now from episodes 4-5 has become the 2nd year.

thats how I see it
