How did this thread go from Louise to a Haruhi discussion. Contrary to what a lot of people are saying that this series is crap, I don't know I actually like this series mainly because of the side characters and Louise. Even though Louise can be annoying and all that junk I still watch a lot of animes that are similar to this anime. One of the characters that make me enjoy this anime is probably Tabitha like you guys said and Guiche. They just make the episode interesting for me.
And I especially like this anime for its OST, I just love the OP and ED of all 3 seasons so far. |

This season wasn't all that great and I please easily. It was more about the fanservice, not that I'm complaining about it but the story didn't really move that much. Biggest surprise I got was that battleship cannon turret.
This episode a 6/10 The whole season 6.5/10, maybe 7/10. |

if you have in mind those that are marked as previews then they are fully translated...
If you are talking about volume 5 chapter 2 (which is the first not fuly translated chapter) then you can read without waiting for it to finish as it is mostly a side story having no real influence on the main characters and the story (thats why it is still not finished, because it's not really important chapter). |

This episode didn't have enough epic action for me, and the story wasn't wrapped up at ALL. Overall, I'm really disappointed in how this season turned out. I know there wasn't much to be expected in the first place, but the first two or three episodes kind of got my hopes up.
I'd say more, but I don't want to start a shipping war. |

really, i do not think that viewers should rate the show as seasons separately, from what I see, the seasons do not have a main theme but are merely called seasons to explain the time difference between the seasons (half a year). The story continues even if the season ends you see

But you can't make the last episode like if it was just another normal episode with a crappy ending (not that this was the case, even if I think so ) and show a preview for the next part of the story which will air half a year later. You have to give a proper ending...
For me this season lacked emotion and exciting situations, the kind that give you the urge to see the next episode or that keep you sitting in your chair downloading or streaming every episode available... Overall, it could have been done better, much better... |

The problem as to why they lacked the emotional impact - the emotional scenes were rushed, not properly (slowly) build and because it was surrounded by so much pointless fanservice that it itself lost a lot of emotional power. Lets say when you see 16 minutes of fanservice then those few other minutes that should be emotionally moving are not that strong at all...

This was a completely useless episode for a Season Ender. The only bright spot in this season was Tabitha growing closer to Saito, and then they rushed it at the end in a very un-Tabitha manner.
But at least it was cute, unlike Louise's whole trauma this episode. And after spending the previous two episodes showing us this uber-monster, it's only ability is something we've already seen them beat already? The whole writing staff should be taken out and shot. This was pure crap. |

Is it just me or does it seem like only military items travel between the worlds? I mean, a German 88. Really? Really.
lol Other than that, Louise near the end in the cabin of the Ostland was sooooooo cute with those dog-eyes and grin. The first season was still the best by far, but I'd put the 3rd as a solid second. The middle season was just not that good, I think. This was a step up.

This is one of the most frustrating shows I've ever seen. It seems to have a good premise, good characters, good voice actors, and occasionally some genuinely good story ideas, but it is ruined constantly by writing and pacing so bad that it almost seems intentional.
They had kind of a neat thing going with Princess Henrietta up against all of her friends. They had some good conflict with Tabitha, and they even got to cast her as the damsel in distress for a change, but they never cashed in on any of it. And was there a movie between episodes 11 and 12 that I missed or something? What the hell? And what the hell was the deal with the painfully over-endowed elf girl? No explanation there? What about the reluctantly bad elf guy? What was his story? Where did this whole 'bamf! I can't use magic this episode, let's see what happens!' idea come from? How on earth does that fit into any of this? It sadly always turns out the same with this show -- lots of potential that falls flat due to excessive fanservice and phoning it in on the writing. It seems like if they'd just put some effort into the story and dial down the boobies a little, this could really be a great series. It's probably way too late now, but it really did have potential. |

No there wasn't a movie. You missed nothing. There is no hell. She was with Saito and co. to rescue tabitha. There is an explanation. The elf guy was not explained as there is content which would not actually fit into a 12 episode season, . The idea came from the staff. It fits into the story as Louise was uncertain if Saito had truly loved her, the episode did indirectly mention the reason why she could not use her powers, the latter. You should note that the story still continues although the season ends, you cannot just rate the season as it is as it does not tell the complete story. Which comes the problem of the JC staff calling seasons seasons when they aren't exactly seasons. |

There's nothing wrong with calling them seasons, after all, isn't a season just a group of episodes following a certain plot/story? The plot/story could be bigger than what this season can cover, but that's the point on having more seasons, to cover the rest of the story.
Now, I haven't read the novels that correspond to this part, but from what I'm reading here, basically JC Staff doesn't even know where to properly end a season, do they? |

That is not right as they did end the season off well; contrary to popular beliefs. JC Staff had managed to make the final episode so as to allow smooth transition to the fourth, Saito and co. were safely returned to tristain with the enemies on the loose. You could say that Season 3 was a lengthy 12
episode introduction to the fourth 0_0 Quote:

Episode: 2: meeting Tif, Tif's hut 4: Tiff boob groping 5: Bath scene, Tabitha scene 7: siesta's seduction, Tiffania cosplaying Saito 8: Siesta hugs Louise, Tiffania hugs Saito, Girls touch Tiffania, Louise pins Saito down 10: Siesta lifting skirt 11: Dancing this at most only sums up to approximately 0.75 episodes of fanservice. i do not think 1/12 episodes is considered as excessive fanservice, is it?
