Let the wait for the BD Beguine.
Spoiler for The ship was named after this song:
I got my Complete Chart this afternoon. I'm posting these while listening to Mikako-shi on Anispa Sorry for those shitty pictures. I'm still using my old Nokia which I bought hastily in time of emergency during my university years.

Five more days to the BD.
Seven to the live event. Apparently it can be streamed if you're a paid user on Bandai channel. When they did it like this 2 years ago, the movie was announced. I want to believe. I've recently started to re-watch the series as an anticipation for the movie, as I pretend it is my first time watching it. Spoiler:
I wish I could turn back time and listen to Mikako-shi talking about behind the scenes of MoPi. I hereby demand to hope that more anime studio will venture to make more Japanese cartoons on space, be it Science Fiction or Sukoshi Fushigi

Done watching the movie and listening to the audio drama. The movie is pretty much the same as the manga, so not much to be said here.
For the rest of the BD contents Spoiler:
I wonder what will Mikako-shi wear tomorrow? (✧ω✧) Edit Spoiler:
So the official twitter said that today stage event is probably going to be the last one. [link] Thank you for killing my hope for S2 凸(`△´+). Bye bye Marika. See you again when Sensei feels like writing MiniPi again. (・ω・)ノシ

So, the Drama CD continues the trend of characters doing sound effects...
Just checking, what are the main pieces of information in the Complete Chart, Design Archives and whatnot that were not present in the film itself? Edit: Oh dear...It seems things aren't going too well... Edit: It seems Abyss of Hyperspace will be simultaneously screened at a 'Anime Style Night' event on 24/01/2015, together with Girls und Panzer, Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary and Giovanni's Island. Director Satou will apparently be attending. Last edited by Inept Forum User; 2014-12-25 at 12:09. |

Well now, it's nice to see everyone again, though I can see where the complaints of some people are coming from -- while Marika and Chiaki and everyone else are in it, it's technically not their story, but Kanata's. They're basically just along for the ride for his big adventure.
That said, it was still great. My personal Highlights were: * The cutest virus counterattack ever: * Chiaki's string of bad luck, and then discovering that she didn't NEED to have gone through the trouble, because Marika and co. figured it out on their own. * Grunhilde giving Kanata these intense stares for the whole of the first half of the movie: * Ririka being badass, where she even surprises Marika for how literally STRONG she is. She dents metal plating while fighting in a plain space suit (though it MIGHT be power armor)... * SUPER ROBOT?!? IN MY CUTE GIRLS PIRATE ANIME?!? You better believe it. Okay, they call it a "hyperspace deep diving vessel", but it sure looks like a super robot to me!

Yes indeed, as someone who enjoyed the tv adaptation it's no surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was very nice to have the whole...erm...crews, I guess, back.
Especially like the presentation and articulation of hyperspace - liked the imagery.

Just completely watched the movie, supposed to watch it few hours earlier but it was 'wasted' to find solution to fix my MPC's troubleshoot... (not able to load the subs)
Quite an okay movie, would be very please if MoPi has any future projects on coming times.... This scene certainly reminds me (a 'horde' of) Haruka-san from Puchimas, heh. |

Just of curiosity, in-universe (both film and drama CD), out of universe or both?
