I believe Kaisos is likely right since the other tracks on that disc are older much like that one and Gymnopédie no. 2. One more interesting fact that I neglected to mention this morning is that there are multiple composers for the OST. For tracks 1, 2, 3, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 22, and 23, the composer is Satoru Kōsaki as usual, but Ryuichi Takada composed tracks 5,6, 14, and 21, Keigo Hoashi composed tracks 4, 7, 8, 16, 17, 19, and 20, Kakeru Ishihama composed track 10, and of course Erik Satie was the composer of Gymnopédie no. 2 (track 18). It'll be interesting to hear if there is a sharp discordance between composers or if the change in music reflects the changing world of Vanishment.

Since I'm the only post on this page, I'll go ahead and EDIT in this bit of news that I'm sure everyone is waiting for. The title of the Vanishment Theme is..... "Yasashii Boukyaku" The title roughly translates to "Gentle Oblivion" which fits the movie so well.

Maybe a fake?

I think the Dissapearance's theme song is a same song in (very) first teaser.

However, this is only my opinion. Maybe it's real too.

It took me a while, but this sound like a very slowed down version of under Mebius' chorus.

I debated posting that yesterday and decided not to due to the spoilers involved. Since people will be wondering what Yuki's saying, I've translated the text. Under the spoilerbar is the translation if you really want to be majorly spoiled for the movie. This is not THE major spoiler, but it is probably a variation of number 2 or 3, so if you are hesitating, don't click on the spoiler. If anyone wishes, I shall edit the translation out.

Spoiler:
I remember that part epicly...
Now...what does that have to do with music, exactly?

Good idea.

Anyway, I'm back from Japan!

It probably was 5 in. I suck at measurements, so I was eyeballing it. Either way, it's tiny.

I also got to see it in Korea, too.

WELCOME BACK HOW WAS YOUR TRIP.
In other news, I have officially run out of topics for this thread...

It was fine. I could go into details, but y'know...

I've been thinking about Taniguchi's album and I've finally attributed it to Shiraishi's recent popularity. My question is, does he really deserve it? He got most of that from Lucky Star...by playing himself...

Christina Vee is amazing, her Super Driver was soo coolio.

Ohh,hey, if they have an OP for Disappearance, shouldn't they have an ED too?

Meh, CVee again...

Anyway, not necessarily an ED. Sometimes things just don't have 'em, like the last episode of E8.

Also, while the OP will likely be playing amongst actual scenes in the movie, an ED will be played with the friggin' credits, so not as captivating.

Actually, there is not an OP for the Vanishment movie. Gentle Oblivion will probably play over the credits. It kinda acts as an ED, but not the same thing.

EDIT:
Since I'm the last post on the page again, I'll edit in this news rather than double-posting. Chihara-san shot the video and jacket pictures for Gentle Oblivion today! Not only that, but it's at the high school that the animation is based off of. I found this picture quite cute:

That's Minori Chihara, the seiju for Yuki, posing in front of the actual building that Yuki's apartment is based from!
