im new to this site, but was wondering what is a good if not great anime with hardcore violence or good fighting scenes with a nice romance/drama. the main character is a male saving his lovey lady from hoards of baddies is always but they never make them great. the women are either annoy, bad matchups (like more then one female characters but goes for the wrong one in my opion ) to slutty looking ( its not bad but not that good neither)and other little things. ive seen alot of great animes but i need me another one to watch in this genre. im not in to the whole female lead in action/romances cause they make the men seem like little girls and that would make it a yuri so plz board can you help me out.

Definitely you want to see :
Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen – trust and betrayal
Kaze no stigma ( you would definitely love this, exactly what you need)
Mutse Enmei Ryuu : Shura no Toki ( amazing series, one of my personal fav.)
Special A
Heroic Age ( Very less romance though, but great)
Chrome Shelled Regios ( Again romance is not the focal point, but amazing)
Beserk - total kick ass guy.

Try to watch Baccano, there are several pairing and one of them gets more developed in 2 special episodes. Each pairing differs but mostly each one is kick ass and series have nice action with some gore.

Code Geass has some romance going on, both parties are cool.

Fate/Stay Night has romance in it but girl is the one who kicks asses. But guy eventually grow in strengh too.

Inuyasha, action show with several couplings. Both parties are quiet strong.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, not really a romance but has implications and some nice action with great, strong characters.

Romeo + Juliet, both partie can fight though Juliet will annoy you at first because of her not wanting to kill...

Rosario + Vampire (manga) - the guy starts as a whimp but eventually becomes a real bad ass.

Sailor Moon
Black Bird
Romeo x Juliet
Mars

Fushigi Yugi, Ceres Celestial Legend and Sailor Moon manga are much better than the anime.

Wild Act is an incredible romance/action manga with lots of kissing, sex, action, drama.

Kaze no stigma a little bit of romance and a lot of action
Rosario vampire a lot of romance and medium action
Dance in the vampire bund little bit of romance and medium action
Macross frontier medium romance and a lot of action

That's all i can think of right now enjoy.
