Perhaps, or it could just be that the Website died, but the three/four of them still see each other. And let's not forget this about Kaori's group: When she wants them together, she still can get them organized.

We'll need to know the actual details behind the decision to return to "normal siblings (as normal as those two could ever be), but it's possible that they would do so so as to not further strain their other relationships. That wouldn't seem forced to me, since it's happened before in Volume 8. Their friends might accept it, but that wouldn't mean they'd be happy about it and it's hard to see either of them binning those friendships; in fact, the supposed fight with Manami might even a big contributing factor to the decision.

As for the possible ending itself, it wouldn't be unexpected if that were to happen. The way I see it is that the two had to become closer as siblings again before those feelings could be addressed; they would never come out, otherwise. While the novels have all been about a brother and sister repairing their relationship, there's always been some subtext or suggestion of something lying beneath the surface, right from the very beginning of the series.

Well, yeah, as I mentioned in one of my other posts, there's some discussion at the moment that the whole "return to normal siblings" thing isn't quite what it seems. They're trying to make the reader (and the world around them) think that, but then Kyousuke suddenly kisses her right at the end, implying that it may have been just an act. They may not really have returned to being "normal siblings" after all.

We do, very much, need the details to arrive at a full interpretation.

Thats why until i see the complete summary from a legit source, im not buying anything. Still, I wonder if people who claim to have the last volume on their hand, simply just skipped (read) to the end and posted about it, which would explain the mass confusion that is going on

Then again, the series was about brother/sister relationship, so it wasnt THAT unexpected

This would be extremely likely actually I can see people doing that. We will probably get a more conclusive end after the 10 year reunion.

So, based on what little summaries we got, it seems that we get a full cop-out non-resolution with the character I have the biggest reservations for. Yaaay. Yes, I probably should wait for full summaries, but I feel confident enough already that my main points of criticism will not be resolved.

What does remain?

The show managed to raise several interesting questions (what if a brother gradually fell in love with his sister that seemed to hate him all the time), but ultimately failed to offer convincing answers.

- What will they do about the social stigmatization?
- How would the parents act?
- Why would characters like Ayase, who threatened to kill Kyousuke over it, suddenly condone this kind of resolution?
- Why would any genuine romantic love revelation between those two suddenly be reverted? (Answer: Cop-out) If so, what's the point of the entire story up to now?

The funny thing is that it's not the incest part which bothers me (e.g. I'm fully rooting for a Miyuki ending in Mahouka), it's the pretense of the author to tackle this issue, but then shying away from pulling through.

Coitus Interruptus is no passing grade in my book. It's the equivalent of popping the bubble of foam with arguably the least commercial blowback. The pilot is jumping off the burning plane with a parachute, but failed to save it.

Well, again, it really wasn't reverted, hence the final kiss. But keeping up the sibling act in public was likely how they decided to deal with the social stigmatization. (Of course, this isn't necessarily a solution that lasts forever, but neither is the timeframe of the novel. We'll see what happens at the ten-year reunion.)

Kyousuke said that he wanted to go to Chiba to buy a new game and a limited edition item for his lover. This was actually an excuse to ask Kirino out for a date on Christmas night.

Kirino acted as though she didn't want to go, but eventually went anyway, saying that she would help Kyousuke choose which clothes to buy.

On Christmas day, Kyousuke and Kirino went to Harajuku to buy clothes for the former before heading to Chiba.

The two of them met the Akagi siblings in a shop in Chiba. They were there to buy stuff as well.

Kyousuke asked Kirino to accompany him to the Sky Tree to enjoy the night scenery. Along the way, he told her that he had booked a room in a nearby hotel.

Kirino thought he was referring to a love hotel, leading to an awkward atmosphere between the two of them.

After checking into the hotel, they played the new HGAME on a laptop. After reaching a particular save point in the game, they went to the Sky Tree.

On the viewing platform, Kirino said that she was going overseas again after graduating from middle school.

When Kyousuke said that there was someone he liked, Kirino started to weep and ran away.

As Kyousuke gave chase, an itasha (painted car) stopped in front of him. Inside the car were Saori and her sister, as well as Kuroneko. They had been tailing the siblings. So Kyousuke boarded the itasha and chased Kirino.

Saori said that she had made up with her sister.

Following up from volume 10, Kyousuke later told Ayase that he liked someone else, and rejected her.

While crying, Ayase kissed Kyousuke on the cheek before leaving.

20 Dec: Kyousuke met with Kuroneko and told her that he couldn't carry on dating her because he liked someone else. He also gave her a description of the person he liked.

With tears streaming down her face, Kuroneko tore up her notebook. After crying for some time, Kuroneko announced that she would become dark (yami) cat, and cast the most powerful curse on him.

With help from Saori and co, Kyousuke caught up to Kirino and confessed to her.

Meanwhile, Kuroneko used the car's public announcement system to blast a recording of Kyousuke's description of the girl he liked at full volume. (This was the most powerful curse.)

Kyousuke shouted, "I won't let you leave, marry me!" and Kirino replied, "Ok".

When they arrived back at the hotel, Kyousuke gave Kirino a ring (the one that Kirino wanted in volume 3). Kirino asked him to put it on her finger.

Kirino revealed that if that day's events never occurred, she would have confessed to Kyousuke on her own.

The two of them carried on playing the remainder of the HGAME and then went to bed (nothing happened here).

The next day, they went back to Chiba and met with Saori and Kuroneko. The siblings informed them that they've begun dating and Kirino will no longer be studying abroad. Kuroneko simply accepted it, while Saori was shocked.

Later, the four of them went to the arcade. The siblings met Akimi there and told her that they're dating. Akimi was surprised, but accepted Kyousuke's choice.

After New Year, Kyousuke received Kanako's text that she wanted to perform for him at UDX, so he went.

During the performance, Kanako confessed to him directly, but Kyousuke was already attached and rejected her.

Kanako replied that she would become a super idol and make him regret his decision.

One day, Kirino told Kyousuke that she wanted to hold their wedding ceremony, and showed him the photo album that he had seen earlier. The book was full of Kyousuke's pictures, which Kirino had taken from their father's album.

On the day of Kirino's graduation, Manami came running and asked to meet with Kirino. Both of them and Kyousuke then went to the park near their home.

There, Kirino told Manami that she was dating Kyousuke, causing Manami to fly into a rage.

Manami began fighting with Kirino, and Kyousuke had to step in to stop them.

Manami repeated the words she said in Volume 11, telling them not to date, but Kyousuke replied that he wouldn't listen to her this time.

Manami then confessed to Kyousuke, but was rejected too.

Knowing that Kyousuke had indeed made up his mind, Manami slapped him, but ultimately accepted the situation.

After this, Kyousuke and Kirino went back to the church that they previously used as a modelling set and held a wedding with just the two of them before kissing. (Kyousuke had arranged the attire and location beforehand).

Kirino then returned her ring to Kyousuke, who then ended their romantic relationship.

Kyousuke's final decision was to choose nobody.

Epilogue (Spring season): Talked about Kirino and Kyousuke preparing to travel to Chiba to meet the rest of the "Anime Girls Unite!" members.

Interestingly, the guy who posted this was on the Kirino ship, and even he was also extremely unhappy about the way the book ended.

Well, if it wasn't for the other illustration pics along with that, I would have called fake, fake, and more fake. I'm really confused about what to think now. That moment when you start to want to write fanfiction. :/

Yeah, there are still some inconsistencies at this point between the various spoilers that are out there that still need to resovled. This is basically a version of the spoiler that was posted the other day, but at the very least the details of the final chapter of the light novel don't seem to be included in it for whatever reason. (It may be that this is the very same spoiler from the other day, in fact, just coming from the Chinese forum and not from a recent novel reader.)

Why would Kuroneko tear up the notebook, I mean I think she is not delusional and knows that Kyousuke is a siscon, and even though he says he likes Kirino, this does not automatically refute the ending she drew up in the notebook.

Saw 2 of the pics of the LN, and so far what ive seen, not completly shocked nor surprised, but then again pics can only count for so much, for it is true that a picture tells a thousand words but a thousand words depict a picture as well
