The plot is not grounded, unlike Naruto there is no really attaching plot right now beside MC action in his own dimension, so it hard to catch what this manga about.
No kidding, after 4 chapter i still have no idea what is the plot in this manga.

Space Samurai searching for 7 keys to open Pandora Box that left by their god to save the universe.

I won't judge this manga until it reached at least 10 chapters because, at this point, we haven't seen a true fight yet.

But seriously, I keep seeing the MC as a discounted Kabuto though.

Read the chapters available. The setting is interesting and is more rooted in science fiction than I expected. It's got potential too since there's a whole universe to explore. The problem is that the MC is super bland, in both design and personality. We haven't seen much of the heroine yet as she was just introduced in the latest chapter, but she seems equally bland so that's worrisome. She looks cute at least.

Does anyone else finds this tiresome to read because of art? Because whenever I read it, my eyes simply start to hurt afterwards. I don’t have such problem with other manga except this one, but it really annoys me. I can’t even focus on the story. I’m not entirely sure what causes this.

If you mean that it's overly detailed, I'm having a similar problem.

Perhaps it's that. Or perhaps i's becuase some parts of the manga are too... white. I know, it's a weird thing to complain about in black-and-white manga, but sometimes it's feels less like the manga and more like the colouring book. But whatever the reason, I usually have to give my eyes some rest after reading a chapter, something which doesn't happen with other series.

Not really having a problem, although it's definitely true the author doesn't use black ink all that much.

Yep, only the eighth chapter and we already have someone who can slice something as huge as that asteroid. In a hundred chapters or so, they'll be slicing planets

I understand Kishimoto trying to different here because he already did dark past MC before but this MC is lacking touch for readers as well.

But Kishimoto still need to do something that can make us like him.

maybe he can make something happen in present like
peaceful city get raid (generic yet easy to accomplish, anyone will buy a peaceful boring town get destroyed to pieces this also easiest way to develop MC character)

or

making the mc get ntred

I don't think he did something very different regarding the MC's past.

I just find him annoyingly self-centered and rude.

He's pretty much the same as Naruto at the beginning of his series, except Naruto was funny.
