It's not like they had to do the societal flip thing. On the other hand, it's theorized that the government didn't do it willingly and that feminists or radicals made them do it.

IS is a harem series..... A male lead is more natural in such series....unless you are talking about Lesbian harem....

Edit: Destiny as in random events which forced The Slacker do so....

Ever considered the normal approach? Like proper enrollment? Forced into it by country when they realized this one didn't get drafted after registering an A in synchronization rank? something to that effect at least.

well we have good ol age here with the extreme anti-male pilot outlook. Then we haz gbatemper popping in and out of the forum with his overthetoppwnzeverything ideas; even for me, which I find weird.

I don't really have anti-male pilot outlook.... I only has anti-male-pilot-pwn-everyone outlook....

Edit: The reason why it seems that way is because most people has the latter rather than the former.

Moar edit: And it make male writers look kind of bad....as if they are trying to over-compensate something.....

I don't like male pilots, but only because it either blows apart all canon or they're just Mary Sue's witk the flimsiest excuse ever. The most popular one seems to be "Tabane somehow made them able to pilot", completely disregarding her personality.

a country can have more than one representative candidate so that means... yeah... but I think only top candidates get personal machines.

eras: They msot likely didn't do the research. There was too little to research. Or they really needed a boost in ego.

The reason why I don't like them is because of the latter....

Male Pilot should be new (therefore has little to no experience), the only way they can pwn people are through sheer luck (luck can't help your forever)....or team work....(the male pilot's arrogant attitude is logically more likely to screw things up than perfect team work...)

I only give one exception to the rule:

The Guy is the villain of the story....

Edit: I have male IS pilots(Joan...etc) too but they does screw up and lose a fight badly due to lack of experience...

Meaning that when a person "hates" something, but they actually fear it.

I was wondering. Since ISA has skilled students, maybe it's plausible that they were banned from things like interhigh sports competitions and such. Cause they get way better training all around and it seems unfair to pit them against normal people. Or is that segregating them too much?

EDIT: The fact that they're technically not part of Japan helps too.
