Since you have not said what kind of anime you enjoy I will just list the sleeper hits I enjoyed regardless of genre:

Simoun
Red Garden
Ayakashi Ayashi
Saiunkoku Monogatari

Well 6 months ago I would have said Ghost Hunt but it seems to be alive and well XD
The Gargoyle of the Yoshinaga's is definietly a sleeper but a very cute anime.

Ghost Hunt is getting more popular.

From this forum's perspective and the discussion a given thread has held, I would have to say:

Hataraki Man, Noodle Fighter Miki, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Nishi no Yoki Majo, The Third: Aoi Hitomi no Shoujo, Aria the Natural, REC, and xxxHolic.

I put these shows above in the vicinity of pretty good (7.5) to very good (8.5) from my own degree of enjoyment, but didn't see enough discussion in their respective threads in ASuki.

hmm, I didn't like Noodle Fighter Miki, ended up fast forwarding most of it and couldn't be bothered even discussing it in the thread....but guess its just individual taste

Definitely second xxxHoLiC though, watched it without much expectations and it ended up excellent

I third. I just watched 1-11 in a row. It is actually a really good show. Just crunchyroll does not have any past 11(I know it is in the 20s that have been released) but I gotta find them. I hope I don't have to go to youtube. I wonder if Kenichi ever gets with her.

I think the problem for SaiMono is that many of the people on the forum are watching the raws, so by the time the subs are released, many of the contributors have moved on. Don't take this as a criticism of the subbers by the way; both WeSuck and Shadow Dreams are doing excellent work on this series. It's just the nature of things when shows have lots of forum contributors watching raws.

Hataraki Man also had a strong following, but Arienai hasn't released a new episode in a while now (again not a criticism) so discussion has slowed. Also while this is an excellent show, it also seems to appeal to a smaller contingent of AS members.

Then again, I've never equated popularity with quality.

^^;; Well, it never got too much mainstream attention in most communities, hence "under the radar" :P

That's why I said it's a sad fandom... NHK deserves much, much better.

Sadly, Bokura ga Ita seems to have flown well under the radar. This was an absolutely first-rate series that has not received even a fraction of the love and attention it rightfully deserves.
