the silly gags got me initially, and there's a draw to wanting to find out more about the necro and how and why and by who did Ayu got killed. but the cross-dress irks me so much that I'm having 2nd thoughts. it would have been a different story if they had made him a trap though.

I'm not sure if subbers have tried it, but if it Masou Shoujo needs an English variant, I'd say "Magiquip Girl" has a nice ring to it.

No, that's not that at all, especially that Haruna is nothing close to maso.
魔装 (まそう - マソウ) is read "masou", while マゾ (maso from masochism) is read "mazo". Definitely not the same.

魔装少女 (Masou Shoujo) literally means magic clothes girl.

BTW... this series is the funniest thing I've seen since the past 2 anime season...

A naked mahsou shoujo with a chainsaw, a tea-swilling necromancer who only speaks by notepad (but never actually seems to write anything), an unintentionally crossdressing zombie, and cameos by both pedobear and pedocrayfish? I'm hooked.

When I first saw promo art for this series, I just dismissed it as just another mindless moe series, but to my pleasant surprise, it's a funny mindless moe series with a fairly twisted bent that takes itself not at all seriously. That I can get behind.

Don't think it's quite as funny as Mitsudomoe II ep 1, but I have a soft spot for over the top parody...
