bgm/ost I need to listen before I die
Hi everyone. I just got into this type of music and I'm looking to fill my ipod with at least 200 songs so I need some suggestions. Other instruments playing in the background is fine as long as it fits and I prefer no vocals.
here are some of the stuff I liked guilty crown- Krone TMOHZ- god knows fairy from wonderful- yong heng de ai grisaia no kajitsu-kimi no iru machi steins;gate-believe me hyouka-interlude impossible just 166 more to go. songs can from anywhere dramas, anime etc. if list fills up i might add another one (source- name of song) <-- I prefer in this format Spoiler for 1-200:
i'll check this thread on Tuesday and update.thanks and good luck UPDATE:I want to thank everyone for the suggestions I'm really enjoying them. Now I'm looking for more but this time I don't care what instruments are used. from eroges/ visual novels 1.anything from 2010-present 2. has to be from non translated games 3.would like it if BGM was dark and mysterious like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Pydjcxe6fo or emotionally capivating from anime 1.from 2012-present 2.same as the third requirement from VN/eroges examples: enjoying some tracks from nagiasu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHbYW8btZeU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBpbZvDQSfg Any ost/bgm not related to anime can still be shared

Nodame Cantabile is the obvious choice. La Corda d'oro Primo Passo is another one.
Oh, I mis-read your post. I thought you needed an anime based on western classical music........ Well, if its just OST's you're looking for here goes(put the names in youtube search box), FMA - Brothers Ergo Proxy - Terra Incognita Fairy Tail - Celtic Song, Seigi no Chikara Inuyasha - Dearest(BGM string ver.) Jyu Oh Sei - White Out, Planet of the Beast King Naruto Shippuden - Man of the World 2

The first song that comes to mind is:
Clannad - Nagisa Warm Clannad has a great sound track. Clannad - Farewell At The Foot Of A Hill Clannad - Dear Old Home Clannad - Ushio Clannad - Toki wo Kizamu Uta This one is guitar, but it is my favorite version of Dango Daikazoku Clannad - Dango Daikazoku There is an artist that goes by "TAM" who does a lot of anime songs in violin and piano format. His channel is violinpiano2. I especially like his versions of Madoka Magica songs: Madoka Magica - Credens Justitiam Madoka Magica - Credens Justitiam Madoka Magica - Sis Puella Magica Madoka Magica - Connect Madoka Magica - Magia A Certain Scientific Railgun - Only My Railgun Most of those have links to his circle where you can get his music. Of course that makes me think of Kimagure Orange Road and the Madoka Piano Files. Kimagure Orange Road - Emotion Kimagure Orange Road - Missing Kimagure Orange Road - Kanashii kake Kimagure Orange Road - A Boy Meets A Girl My favorite: Kimagure Orange Road - Summer Time And that puts me in mind of the Maison Ikkoku OST. Maison Ikkoku - Hello Sadness aka "Kanashimi yo Konnichiwa" (This arrangement was by an AnimeSuki member by the way) Maison Ikkoku - Will There Be Sunshine Tomorrow aka "Ashita Hareru Ka" Maison Ikkoku - Bells Ring In The Dawn Maison Ikkoku - After The Rain Maison Ikkoku - Hello Sadness (violin) Maison Ikkoku - Kaerazaru Kare Some miscellaneous anime songs: Angel Beats - My Soul, Your Beats! Ano Hana - Secret Base The World God Only Knows - God Only Knows The World God Only Knows - Koi no Kioku Space Battleship Yamato - The Scarlet Scarf Space BattleShip Yamat0 - Universe Spreading to Infinity Space Battleship Yamato - From Yamato With Love Another - Anamnesis Mirai Nikki - Vol. 2 Track 5 Bunny Drop - Otozureta Henka Bunny Drop - Sweet Drops Kimi Ni Todoke - Pure White Story Kimi Ni Todoke - Kimi Ni Todoke by May's Kimi Ni Todoke - Opening (slow version) Kimi Ni Todoke - Opening Crest of the Stars - Daughter of Love Fullmetal Alchemist - Brothers Whisper of the Heart - Oka no Machi Ah My Goddess - Belldandy Neon Genesis Evangelion - Barefoot in the Park Neon Genesis Evangelion - Eva 02 Neon Genesis Evangelion - Rei II Bodacious Space Pirates - Mugen no Ai You also might want to check out The Piano Guys youtube channel. They specialize in Piano and Cello music. My favorite of theirs is probably their version of Over the Rainbow: Wizard of Oz - Over the Rainbow Their original Michael Meets Mozart is also very good. However, if we are just going by piano and violin music without looking for an anime source I have to put this one as the best: Sadko - The Hindu Song aka "The Song of India" by Rimsky-Korsakov.

very nice I'll make sure check everyone's suggestions by tuesday. what I'm looking for is an ost that memorable and is able bring out different emotions or something unique that adds different instruments besides violin and piano.
I checked out the piano guys "micheal meets mozart" and I loved it thanks sackett for the suggestion I'll add it on my list on tuesday

Seeing that you don't mind music from VN's, because of Grisaia in your list i can recommend most of the instrumental tracks of the Hatsyuki Sakura OST like

I own the CD myself; cost a bit more when I bought it at the time the show aired than it does now, too.

Puella was my introduction to the genre and most likely the only anime in the genre that I'll end up watching. Don't be fooled by the genre.
Spoiler for Spoiler for Puella's plot.:
Before trying that one, I highly recommend watching Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni to its fullest. You'll get a lot more enjoyment out of both the plot and one of the characters afterwards. In my case, Spoiler for spoiler for true nature of Puella:
