ok my friend just bought a Geforce FX 256 mb video card, but he says the games he tried didnt work...any of them....just a flashing red screen...does anyone know why?...im pretty sure 2 of the games were Final Fantasy XI and Counter-Strike...i hope you can help me/him thx!

did he install the latest drivers?

did he get the correct drivers?

Edit: Tell him to make sure to get the latest drivers for the card he has. Also he should prolly check if he has the latest directX too.

he got all the drivers from the nVidia site, and he has directx 9

did he plug the molex power supply on the card?
the latest card need direct power from the psu ...
