Welcome to the Naruto Character of the Month Contest!!!!!!


It’s June and our theme is “Lightning Ninja”
Spectacular_Insanity's official definition-
"This will basically mean the character has to have the Lightning Element and use lightning-based techniques. Inclusion of other techniques are fine, but the majority have to be lightning based. If anyone has Kekkei Genkai (Bloodline Limits) that include lightning, that is fine too."


The winner of this contest will decide the theme for next months contest.




This thread is for submissions into the Character of the Month contest.
Contest Rules are as follows:
1. Every contest will have a theme. Each contestant must abide by the theme. Themes cannot be picked twice in a row.

2. Every Character Must be put in spoiler tags. This is to save space.

3. Contest submissions begin on the first day of each month. The entry period will last until two weeks from that date.

4. On the day after the submission date, a poll will open and it will last for one week. When the poll closes, the winner will be allowed to choose a theme for the next contest.

5. The next contest will not begin until the first of the month, when submissions are allowed once again.

6. Only one official submission per contestant. You may create as many character as you want, but you can only enter one official character. So please put “final or official entry in your post when your ready to turn in your finished character.

7. You are allowed to wait until the final day to turn in your entry. If you wish to keep your entry private until the day the poll opens you can request it in the submission thread or by private message to the organizer (me, Zaku).


This months entry period officially starts June 8, 2008 and lasts until June 20, 2008. Entries will be gathered and put up for voting on June 22, 2008. Voting will end on the following Sunday.***





Entries can either be private messaged or posted in the submission thread. The submission thread can also be used to post works in progress to gather feedback from other posters. You do not have to post your entries in the thread if you don't wish to (for those who want to be private about what they are working on), until the last day of submissions. The whole idea is to promote quality entries but it's not required to submit early if you are confident in your entry but want to keep your submission secret until the due date.

I will periodically update the thread to keep track of the names of all contestants and list those names here. Those who wish to keep entries private until the due date should still inform me they are entering so I can keep track of who is competing.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them here or private message me, I'll do my best to answer.

The due date ends at 11:59 (midnight basically) UTC/GMT. The polling will be up one day later after 11:59 (again, midnight). I will try to be as lenient as I can with last minute submissions but only slightly.

Clothes: An outfit that resembles sasukes old outfit but in pitch white with the Cloud villages symbol on the back in red. Shorts are in white with one kanji on each side on the left Freedom and on the right Death

Weapon: Katana strapped to his back with kanji on it saying death to all who oppose.

Specialty: Ninjutsu/Taijutsu

Kekki Genkai: The swirls in both directions on the head allow him to move chakra in his body in both directions at the same time allowing the use of one ultimant jutsu.

:Jutsus:

Hiraishin Tsuiho (Lightning Rod Expolsuion): Throws a shuriken towards the person when they dodge cast jutsu and chakra forms into a lightning bolt infront of Hayai's hand sends it flying at an extremly fast speed and it brakes apart causing 20 foot area of effect explosion of lightning.

Inazuma Bakuhatsu (Lightning Burst): Compiles alot of chakra into the right arm pulling the sword out at lightning speed sending a bolt of lightning flying in three directions.

Supido Senmonka (Speed Expert): Focuses chakra into both feet causing a fast movement using lightning as a boost to move around. Cost Alot of chakra

Raimei Arashi (Thunder Storm): Pulls sword out slow and when the tip exits the sheith swings around at a very fast speed in a 8 formation then pulls it up to an 0 obove his head and a thunder storm hits the sword and sends loud booms flying in all directions last swing of the sword combines a lightning bolt and thunder bolt together and Hayai can keep it on his sword and use it to sharper and increase the aoe of his attacks.

Me Itai (Eye Sore): Focuses chakra to the eyes and they begin to spark making lightning jutsus to cause more damage and have of an area of effect. Slows reaction time a bit.

Hayai Bakuhatsu (Fast Burst): Hayais name is his second strongest jutsu Combines Supido Senmonka and Inazuma Bakuhatsu together to form Hayai Bakuhatsu but because of the extra speed boost causes thunder to surround the lightning causing ears to bleed and sends out 12 bolts.

Kaze Inazuma Maho (Wind Lightning Enchant): Combines both elements together on the sword so when its swung it sends off a mini typhon that launches about 5 bolts of lightning takes alot of chakra to aim all of the typhons at the target. Only 10 typhons can be sent out.

Inazumas Shi (Lightning Demise): Hayai's ultimant lightning jutsu consuming 75% of his chakra he has at the time he uses Supido Senmonka and goes flying into the air and uses all of his wind jutsus at the same time aka Inazumas Shi causes a bigger aoe than deidaras final art explosion.

Toppu Kiritsukeru (Flurry Slash): Pulls his sword out again at lightning speed but keeps the chakra in his arm and attacks at a speed most people withou dojutsus cannot see.

Kesshosen Kiritsukeru (Final Slash): Can only use when Toppu Kiritsukeru runs out puts two giant kanji on the left and right side of the persons body if death highlight the person will be sliced to pieces but if freedom lights up he gets charged with Supido Senmonka for two steps.

Saigo Hogo (Ultimant Protection): Chakra surrounds the Hayais heart using his Kekki Genkai to the ultimant lightning spins to the right side ontop of the heart and on the bottom half of the ball is wind chakra. By doing this withing 15 years after birth then after the 15th birthday the user will be ressurected. Happens every 15 years even if the person is not dead.

Story: Hayai Bakuhatsu the Fast Burst was a kid born by the wind Hokage, he was treated specially and got special tutoring from the academy. When Hayai was born his mom the hokage died in birth and the husband died 3 weeks after the conservation of Hayai on a Top Secret Mission to The village Hidden In The Sand. Hayai got his name because of how he was always running around and could move very fast off one step. When Hayai entered the academy people called him names and tried to beat him up for the death of the hokage most of the jounins and village elders didn't like him either but because he was the hokages son they had to give him the best training possible. When Hayai turned 7 he was already a master in Lightning jutsus and started working on wind jutsus during his training he was target by a assassin sent from The Village Hidden In The Sands. Two years perceding that Hayai became a chuunin and was told the reason that assassin was after him, because his father was sent out by the hokage to steal a scroll filled with Forbidden Jutsus. Hearing this Hayai took his training 5x more serious than he did before and became the #2 Jounin in the whole village without being serious in his fights. Hayai did all he could to become the #2 jounin so he could hire assassins to kill the current hokage so he could challenge the #1 jounin for the spot of hokage. After the hokage was killed Hayai was 13 years old and became the Wind Hokage, right after becoming the hokage he spoke of his father and his mother that he did not know but what he was told and sent the Wind Village off to war with the Sand Village. The Wind Village was winning with Hayai there at the age of 14 but when they got into the village the hokage came out who had been studying the Forbidden Jutsus Scroll. Hayai showed his ultimate jutsu Inazumas Shi and the Sand Hokage was almost dead and the whole village was nearly wiped out along with the ninjas of the wind. Hayai got to cocky and used Kesshosen Kiritsukeru and it didnt light up death it lite up freedom and the Hokage realized what had happened and used it to his advantage he used a forbidden jutsu to completly paralayze Hayai and using Hayais own katana he took his sword and cut his head off. The wind Village begged for forgiveness saying they would do anything to undo the deed they have done and now they are the "slaves" to the Sand Village. Hayai Bakuhatsu one of the strongets hokages but also one of the most foolish....may he rest in piece for a 9 months!

Hair: Saki’s hair was constantly in a pony-tail. It was black with three red streaks.
Eyes: Saki’s eyes are nothing remarkable. They are normal blue, though for some unexplained reason they always seemed to be blood-shot.
Clothes: Saki wore a blue bandana hitai-ite. He wore a short-sleeved chunin vest over black elbow-length spandex shirt. Under that he wore a mid-forearm length, chain-mail shirt. He wore a black, ankle-length, spandex pants over chain-mail pants. He wore blue shinobi sandals and fingerless gloves.



Personality and Beliefs:
Saki was a kind and outgoing person. He believed that, if in death, if a person has not an exterior fatal wound on them, that they are blessed and shall be reborn. He does his best to give everyone a second chance through his jutsus. For him, if a person isn’t given a burial that includes their remains, they wander the Earth for eternity. Even though Saki is very devout in his beliefs, he still totally destroyed his body beyond any recognition in order to save his team. According to himself, he will wander the Earth forever.

Effect: This jutsu creates a magnetic force around the user, slightly changing the flight path of metal throwing weapons. Can also divert held metal weapons. The longer the jutsu is active for, the larger the force is.
Advantages/Disadvantages: It takes time to build up the magnet field.

Name: Choujuude rakurai no Jutsu (Hypercharged bolt jutsu)
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: A
Effect: This jutsu is a finisher. The jutsu builds up lightning in the user’s hand or foot and the user then discharges it by punching or kicking at an enemy. It is designed for killing a tired enemy. The user can discharge the bolt by touching an object but at great personal risk.
Advantages/Disadvantages: This jutsu uses a lot of chakra. Can burn the user.

Name: Shinkei chacha no Jutsu (Nerve disruption jutsu)
Type: Ninjutsu

Effect: This jutsu disrupts the nerves (exactly like Tsunade did to Oro’s lacky [forgot his name]). The only difference is this one lasts a lot longer, it can last up to five hours and by then, the victims body is supposed to be used to moving with the disrupted nerves so all of a sudden going back to normal could be a bit difficult.
Advantages/Disadvantages: If not timed correctly, could disrupt the user’s nerves.

Brief Life Story:
Saki led a fairly normal life. He was middle of his class at the Academy. He graduated to Genin at age 13 and obtained Chunin at age 19. At 23 he was chosen for a Special Jounin try-out that lasted for a year before he knew if he became a Special Jounin or not. He went on mission with a Special Jounin squad. One day, an urgent summons came from the Hokage to Saki’s team, they were being sent on an S-Class assassination and retrieval mission. They were to kill a bandit lord on the Wind country border and bring back a Chunin that the bandit had captured and bring him back to Konoha, as well as the scroll that that shinobi had, but they weren’t told about the scroll. When they arrived at the bandit camp, they found out that the bandit lord had hired some shinobi from Iwagakure. The team snuck into the camp and killed the bandit lord before the Iwa-nin even knew they were there. They then proceeded to blast their way through the camp to the Chunin. They managed to make it out of the camp only incurring some scrapes and bruises. Travelling with the Chunin slowed them dramatically, giving the Iwa-nin time to catch up. Seeing this Saki, stopped and turned around to face the shinobi following them. When the others stopped, he told them to go on. The Chunin didn’t even slow down. The rest of Saki’s team went on. There were ten Iwa-nin pursuing. Only one stopped for Saki, to kill him but Saki had charged up a strong Raikou haji and palmed the shinobi directly over the shinobi’s heart, killing the shinobi instantly. He then turned and sent a barrage of Raikou toge at the remaining nine Iwa-nin. One was struck in the spine, dead. Three were struck in the upper back or shoulder region, they continued on. The remaining five however were struck below the waist, so they couldn’t continue. Those shinobi told the other three to go on through the radios, when suddenly a bolt of lightning streaked past them killing the middle shinobi of the three in front. The bolt was so strong that it made the inside of the shinobi’s mouth and his eyes glow (if you’ve ever seen it Zatch Bell when he fired his lightning) and sent the shinobi flying over Saki’s team’s heads. The rest of the five Iwa-nin that remained to fight Saki turned around and had to quickly dodge multiple Raikou toge. The closest on to Saki couldn’t dodge in time and was hit in the sternum, pretty well dead. Three of the four threw kunai and shuriken at Saki while the final one went close range. The Iwa-nin certainly weren’t ready for when their kunai and shuriken were partially deflected away. The shinobi that went close range was hit by some kunai and shuriken that had been forced from their original flight path, dead. Now only three shinobi remained to fight Saki. During all of this Saki kept reporting through his head-set. The Iwa-nin figured out their kunai and shuriken wouldn’t work so they threw out a few jutsu. Saki soon found himself dodging all matter of earth, rock or mud attacks. He jumped and sent a multitude of lightning spines at the shinobi, but only one made contact, the rest hit an earth wall that was not there a second before. The one that made contact shaved along the side of the nin. By this time, Saki was running low on chakra and couldn’t last much longer. He decided that he would give the Iwa-nin something to remember him by as his last gift. He spoke a few words into his mike, “I’ll see you later guys. Please kill those two sons-of-a-b****es that are following you for me.” With that he dropped his magnetic shield and started concentrating all his remaining chakra into his navel while dropping down. Just as he landed, the last of his chakra reached his navel. Once the chakra was concentrated there, Saki manipulated the chakra into lightning chakra. At that, he said one word, “Boom,” and realised all of the chakra, making it radiate out of his body. Saki’s body was totally incinerated along with the Iwa-nin, no amount of earth could save them. Saki’s team heard his declaration and turned around to see a flash of lightning a long way away. They quickly knocked out the Iwa-nin and carried them back for questioning. When another retrieval squad was sent out for Saki, all they found was a patch of lightning burnt forest and some charred bones.

Bio: The self proclaimed God of Storms, Denka is an upstart lightning jutsu user from Negakure. Born into the relatively unknown Izakuchi clan, Denka recieved the clan's kekkei genkai which brought him unprecedented powers with electricity. Whlie this kekkei genkai didn't develop until his early teens, Denka was already a promising ninja. One of the top students in the Academy, he mastered the ninja arts with relative ease, and graduated with honors. With a natual affinity for wind and electric jutsu, Denka was eventually taught the trademark Izakuchi jutsus, and his skills grew.
However, while he mastered jutsu easily, Denka soon found out that performing jutsu under pressure was more daunting than he thought, and was nearly killed numerous times while on missions. His difficulty in combat led to losing numerous teammates, which soon led to a stigma against him. Seen as bad luck, Denka was shunned by his friends and comrades, and left to fend for himself on missions. It was then that his kekkei genkai developed, and allowed him to become a strong ninja. As his abilities grew, so did his confidence in battle, and now he has little trouble with combat, having become a formidable fighter.
Outside of battle, Denka remains seclusive. The few years of being an outcast among his friends had a long lasting effect, and he finds it hard to trust them at times. The older ninja and villagers see him in a better light, and have always been supportive. In particular, Denka has become good friends with fellow ninja, Kazeashi Yokoi.

Kekkei Genkai: Denka's kekkei genkai, Chidenki, is a trait that turns the human body into a walking power plant of sorts. Chidenki is always active after it first appears in the subject. Chidenki's power comes from static electricity generated by friction from internal functions within the body. With many objects, static electricity is created from friction and movement, and the same principle is applied to the human body, namely the friction of blood cells against vein and artery walls. The constant friction of moving blood, as well as friction from moving muscles creates a steady electric charge within the body, which can average to millions of volts. After enough training, the Chidenki user can learn to wield the electricity at will, and turn into a devastating means of attack. Using the electricity on it's own is beneficial because the electricity isn't chakra related, and doesn't require handsigns to use for simple techniques.

Custom Jutsu:

Olympus Charge: During thunderstorms, Denka can emit electricity from his body to attract lightning. If lightning strikes him, the lightning adds it's charge to the power Denki already has, instantly upping his power supply.

Kuwabara Kuwabara: Another thunderstorm technique. This take on the Olympus Charge comes from Denka using his electricity to control the storm's lightning to a degree, and command it to strike his enemies. The name comes from the old Japanese chant to ward off lightning.

Chidenki Flash: One of the Izakuchi Clan's secret jutsu. Using the charge from the Chidenki, the user can convery their body into pure electricity, and travel at the speed of light. The jutsu is extrelemy dangerous and physically taxing on the body, and is generally used as a means of retreat, since recombining into the physical form takes a long while.

Nail Strike: Combining chakra and electricity, Denka can take any piece of metal, tear it to pieces, and creates a cloud of bits of metal and shrapnel, which floats around the caster. The jutsu is done solely by the electricity, as the hands are occupied with maintaining the special handsign to keep the jutsu in effect. The shrapnel cloud is often concentrated and shot at an enemy, creating a wide cone of destruction, like a giant shotgun blast.

Thunder Boomerang: Another Izakuchi jutsu. After performing handsigns, Denka creates a large V shaped mass of pure chakra and electricity, and throws it at a target. The "boomerang" is completely under Denka's control, following a path drawn out with his finger in the air. The electricity keeps it's charge until it makes contact with an object, and loses a portion. If need be, Denka can detonate the boomerang at will, creating an electric explosion.

Pulse Shield: Requiring no handsigns, the pulse shield is a wave of electric energy released from Denka's body at will. The strength depends on the size and charge. Larger shields will deflect thrown weapons and dull the shock from explosive tags to an extent, while smaller, concentrated shields can incinerate whatever makes contact with them. The shields tend to drain a lot of energy, so Denka usually limits them to short bursts, just enough to protect him from an immediate attack.

Thunderpunch Combo - Denka's special taijutsu technique. The jutsu begins with a supercharged uppercut to get the target airborne. Once in the air, Denka pushes them further upward with bolts of lightning from his hands. He then jumps above his enemy, flip-kicks them back to the ground, and finishes with a high powered lightining blast.

Well the antry phase is over, and I'm a little disappointed. Only four entries again! I was honestly expecting a little more this time, but eh can't force anyone to enter. Well anyway voting starts tomorrow and lasts until next Sunday. I'm a little worried and relieved at the same time. Worried because Dan's and Keikan's characters are so awesome, with pics included! And relieved cause if Spectacular_Insanity had entered again I'd be in even more trouble. And Quzor if you read this I'm still waiting for you to enter pal! I won't be able to sonsider that I've truly won a contest until I'e been able to beat one of your masterpieces. Heheheh. Sorry, I decided to not compete in this one. I had some other stuff I needed to do at home, so I don't have enough time to write out a full character (for now). Maybe next month's contest.
