I want Angelique to end up with Nyx; I want them to fall in love. Apparently, Nyx always make Angelique blush. Their moments together seem to have the intimate spark. I prefer Angelique and Nyx forever!!!

I'm a bit saddened by the lack of attention this show is getting, and I feel a little regretful not pimping this show enough (I don't think my sarcastic comments about it helped gain any more viewers, at all lol)

But at the rate this show is going, I'm not sure if Ange will end up with anyone. I'd rather not see her end up with anyone than end up with Nyx T__T I want Rayneee! but sigh, I just wonder what the producers have in mind. That said, I might just check out the last volume of the novel to be released this September, to see if the manga provides a definite [romance] ending.

I can just hope that I can get my lazy ass to blog this regularly from now on and/or actively participate in the thread. Neo Angelique needs more love!! There's only a few more episodes till the end of this series too.

Recently wrote a little Neo Angelique semi-review / love post too, though I'm not sure if anyone will actually read it ^^; It'll be great if you could share a bit of your thoughts. Just beware of a few spoilers, especially with regards to season2. I didn't expound on the details all that much, but just to keep you guys warned

I thought that one of the qualities of the queen that was a constant in all the Angelique game is that the queen must be chaste? yes? no? If that's true, then Ange won't end up with anyone. She'll sacrifice love for responsibility. It's her nature.

That's the impression I got with the Queen business, so I don't think she'll end up with anyone either. Besides, Angel does make it clear that she considers them all her family, and she wishes to be with all of them again.

But I have seen that there are special endings for each guy x Angelique, like with HaruToki.

Nyx gets the sympathy factor (like one particular vampire we know <_<). Funny, though, the sympathizing guy doesn't do a whole lot does he? He just wants to be killed by the heroine - sound familiar?

I don't think that Rayne doesn't care or fear for his brother but he knows his duty - and I guess he chose his duty over his brother. That sounds a bit cold - and it is. I think the anime should have made Rayne suffer more in his decision between his brother and that of protecting Angel. It was too smooth to shove the direction in Eren's hands and say, 'I'm counting on you.' That took a bit away from Rayne's character. T_T I guess the episode wanted to focus on Erenfried and missed the extra detail for Rayne.

Mathias has seriously lost my vote. I thought he'd be a little like Erenfried but no...he has totally voluntarily submitted to the darkside.

Well, considering some of the other animes running at the same time as NAA (like CGR2, KHR, Sekirei, etc.), I'm not too surprised that this show doesn't have a good size audience. It's unfortunate but, meh, we'll keep this thread alive. 8Db

ep 9

This was basically an ep split into two parts, again no real amazing revelations but I guess there won't be much anyway now that the real villains are revealed so these episodes serve as more of a wrap up and lead up to the final battles.

The first half deals with Erefried and how he was able to save Yorgo from execution. I do feel sorry for Erenfried now...I think he has suffered enough to repent for his past sins. Now he knows that he was wrong and should be given a chance to change. In fact he already has a big deal and it was great to see Yorgo finally acknowledging him some more.

The second half was about Jet. He manages to find Ange and the group and aims to carry our his order even though he doesn't have a "master" anymore. JD comfronts him and they fight it out when words won't do. Ironically, it was Ange's tears which caused him to stop and it seems like he has now reconsidered his freedom.

Nice ep...and the preview seems to indicate that we will be finishing Marthias' story next.

Anyway by far the worst thing about the show is some of the stilted dialouge. But I'm glad my Erenfried has the least of it.
Anyway it is a pity that so few people are watching the show because the world needs more Erenfried fanboys and fangirls. I blame Special A.

I'm rather stubbon so the only thing which will get me to even feel for Erenfried is when he begins to realise his own mistakes rather than digging a bigger hole for himself.

I do feel sorry for Erenfried now...

Gah...this episode was a bit boring even with Marthias and all that.

We did get a bit of a fight scene but the predictable bit comes where Marthias tries to stop the madness when he realises how important Rene is to him.

Nyx then shows up and demands for the "last waltz" with Ange. You can pretty much tell that the final battle is coming up next.

And it seems like there have been other "queen's egg" girls in the past, but they have all ended in failure and died holding grudges. Hopefully, Ange will break out of this cursed fate unlike her past reincarnations.

Yeah that sound cut out near the end was pretty nifty. At first I thought she was just mouthing out the sounds but I guess she could of done that as well. Roche is a pretty cool knife user but Bernard was just stupid when he put up his fists.
This probably sounds pretty horrible but I'm kind of glad Mathias died. It just wouldn't make sense for the Arcadian people to forgive him. I mean Yorgo was facing possible execution for being indirectly resposible for some collateral damage. (In 99% of anime nobody cares about collateral damage.) Geez Arcadians are hard to please. BTW I think I had Whardon and Farian mixed up in my mind before this episode. I wish I could see a game map or something like that.
But the Erenfried scenes were my favourite. He looked so cool as he was coming down the stairs and his uniform looking cleaner makes him look really respectable. I was crying in the JetxErenfried scene. 1 <3 YOU ERENFRIED!!!1!1!ELEVEN!!
Anyway Erenfried has learnt to be nice to Jet and I hope they can get along now. I'm very interested in how they are going to be able to get everything happy for the final. At this point I think I'll actually prefer a deus ex machina copout that fixes everything than the bittersweet ending that's likely. So please let Nyx live, Erebos die and Angelique live happily with her friends.

Anyway the new Neo Angelique game is out today and it has the four new guys in it. I wish I could play it and get Erenfried's ending.

I'm shocked to hear how complicated a character Erenfried is supposedly. I sorta want to play a game that is catered strictly to teenage girls now. Sounds like a pretty good visual book type of game from what I hear.

I'm an Erenfried fanboy so it probably isn't worth listening to me about him. I have him as my wallpaper and I go around looking at japanese fanart sites. I might like him more than X and Hihara.

He's definetely the guy who displays his emotions the most though. (Because he's young and cute.:bricked:.) The main guys are very collected so you have to read more into their actions to get to their thoughts.

Anyway if you want a visual novelish game HaruToki 3 is usually considered the most visual novel like and having the best story of the NeoRomance games. The original Neo Angelique is apparently very short.

Something really annoying about the show though is Rayne's pants. They are far too low and they show off his crotch (It isn't even drawn that realisticly). If you wore pants that low in real life you wouldn't be allowed to walk outside.

Ange chose no one. She err....sort of flew off to somewhere, and everyone moves on with their lives. I thought Nyx is dead, but there is a scene where Silent Sun is rebuilt and he is holding the cat smiling. And everyone worships Ange.

And i don't know if it is just me, but lately i have been watching a string of animes with endings i consider not satisfying or rather depressing.

Geass - Not that i dont like the ending but it felt kind of rushed and i want to know if lulu is really dead

Macross frontier - unresolved love triangle

Monochrome factor - shirogane just sort of disappeared

World destruction - the world is not destroyed (no,no i am not being a sadist)

itazura na kiss - the ending is so good that i feel sad it is gone

birdy - poor senkawa

nabari - yoite............................

nijuu mensou musume - an unsatisfying ending. i wish they had come up with something else that would make me go wtf or awesome action

and LASTLY, Neo angelique abyss. I sort of anticipated this ending but i need some time. I don't normally rant like a fangirl but forgive me this time. Just this once.

WHY??????? RAYNE AND ANGE IS TEH PERFECT COUPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAD PICTURED THEM WORKING IN AN ORANGE FARM AS A MARRIED COUPLE BUT YOU RUINED MY FANTASY!!!
