I'm into comedy/action animes but recently got addicted to Kanon. It's not usual of me watching romance-type anime , but this one is just...... good in "that" sense. I'm bad at describing , but it has a certain wow factor , like fresh , relaxing and great to watch. Maybe action animes don't cut it , and there isn't much comedy animes (except Hayate No Gotoku) which I'm watching.

I'm living in Singapore and can't really torrent , so if anything's on YouTube or perhaps Crunchyroll , recommendations as good as Kanon? A friend of mine transferred some of his anime collection and I found this.

I got a feeling I'm missing a lot , but romance anime that I've seen are Chobits , Fruits Basket , To Heart , Ai Yori Aoshi , Hani Hani : Operation Sanctuary ... and can't think of much. Something that's school life would be great , like Operation Sanctuary. Something with that kind of flavour...

So what's good?

Air and Clannad (ongoing) are very much in the same vein as Kanon.

Hmmm , I can find Clannad on YT , but not Air.
Clannad looks interesting yeah...watching now thanks for the recommendation!

I say Air but I Clannad will be along the lines of Kanon as well.
Since Clannad is still going I dont know the impact of the drama is yet :P

You can't find AIR in YouTube becouse AIR's licenced, by ADV Films.

As for me, I suggest:

AIR & AIR: The Movie + Summer Special & Manga
Kanon 2002 & Special or Kanon Remake
CLANNAD (ongoing) & CLANNAD: The Movie (Suggest you to watch the TV series before the Movie)

I second all the animes already said. And maybe you should watch Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya?

Oh, and I recommend using www.veoh.com over youtube....and crunchyroll just kind of sucks....veoh has the best quality.

True that Air and Clannad are probably the only ones with the "Kanon-like" feeling, but if you want drama/romance without much depression and the like, then REC and Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora is what I'll recommend.

almost complete, can also include some drama cd's for a whole collection

hmmm romance... Saiunkoku Monogatari is a nice romance anime I think though the settings is very much different than Kanon...

Everything by Kyo-ani tends to have a similar dreamlike feel to it IMO ( except for lucky star ).

So i reccomend everything on their wikipage, with the exception of lucky star.

Heheh , already seen both LS and Haruhi. Not my best cup of tea. Ouran was close though.
I have become much more addicted to Clannad. Nagisa <3

I could download , but definitely DDL. Still finding AIR.
