Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
So... seems that they may be remaking/remastering/re-releasing/sequeling Baldur's Gate, and there may be some official announcement soon (tm), but at the moment there is some viral stuff to go on.
I loved this game to pieces, its definitely in my top 5 and if there is a new version or the old one is getting a HD release then I want in. If you go to http://www.baldursgate.com/ and view the source code, you can see the comments that have gone up yesterday, and they are changing since it seems more was added over night. You can see them above and bellow the actual site coding. Quote:

I guess if this is true, and it's an official re-make, i guess those poor modders who were working for years on their own mod redux can hang the gloves up if they already haven't. But lets wait and see, it could simply be a promotion for BG on Steam.

I'm not sure if EA or Bioware are even involved. They haven't had any influence over the property in ages (rights were held by Interplay, kicked over to Atari, and finally reclaimed by Hasbro), and I'd be surprised if they were suddenly contracted to work on an update.
As with MDK2 HD, Beamdog (ex-Bioware developers) is handling development. There's no word on a publisher yet, but Atari has recently re-released the old games through digital and retail outlets. |

She's about as much as your sister as a random stranger is your sister. Especially if you play as a non-human race.
If you want to be nitpicky about it I suppose that means the dragon Bhaalspawn toward the middle of ToB was your brother!

It's cool they're keeping the 2nd rule set. It'll probably throw some folks for a loop who never played it. I also thought it was funny the guy that took offence to it being 2nd ed. My friend (me to probably) is pretty much going to disappear from the world when this is released, lol.

Having played AD&D (pencil and paper) for a decade, I don't find a problem with it. Though some of the optional rules were cumbersome. Though I thought they mixed in some 3e stuff, like sorcerer and monk powers. Can't be sure though, since it's been so long I played D&D and I never even got to 3e before retiring.
