No, what Touma told Kuroko is what the promise is about; what everyone is interested is what were the exact words that Touma used, cause it's probably not just a simple 'yes' or 'I promised'.

I wonder what the message means. It can be taken in many different ways.

Well, the real Unabara started to stalk Mikoto roughly a week before 31 / 8; that would mean that him popping up on the 23, 24 or 25 shouldn't be unexpected. As of chapter 39 it could be pretty much safe to say that 22 ended without any events outside what was already seen.

But considering the bag of surprises that the Railgun manga has thrown at us, I wouldn't be surprised if they added a quick 2 day arc with a big, unexpected character doing something.

Lastly, I would like if railgun could have an arc that includes SCHOOL or Kakine, considering how he is inside a fridge in the main continuity and is likely to stay there he is not going to get more developments unless they go the for side story prequels.

That's not true, they could totally rebuild him as [Cyber=Kakine] ala Raiden in MSG4!

This version of c39 comes from volume 6 of the Railgun manga which features extra pages than the magazine version.

Which pisses me off since Index is the original and Railgun is a spinoff, and you have to know Index's story to understand the setting and the plot of Railgun.

My guess is that they think having the Light Novel is enough.

my guess is because mikoto = money.
Mikoto is even popular than index to warrant it. It's own manga and novel plus anime.

The Railgun SS novel doesn't count as it came along with the DVD/BD sales, you can't buy it alone. Essentially it's Index Light Novel, and Railgun Manga. By comparison Index manga isn't as popular probably because there's the Light Novel, while Railgun manga is the original source.

Funimation has the first season which is basically all of index manga so far. So its like why even bother reading the manga in the first place. If it was ahead of the anime it would've been licensed. Railgun is its own thing.
