Console Version Announced, release date in Japan is October 24.

Two new playable characters are being added.

Kagura Mutsuki (Voiced by Keiji Fujiwara)
Yuuki Terumi (Voiced by Yuuichi Nakamura)

Terumi is DLC, a code to unlock him comes with preorders. (Yes, I too am pissed off about that.)

Also, it's PS3 only as of now.

Oh... well they look... interesting. I'm just hoping for Celica to be added to the playable roster... and waiting for Kokonoe and Jubei to be announced.

So does that mean they'll be splitting Hazama into Kazama and Terumi and give one Hazama's fighting style while the other adopts a new one? Seems like the most logical route.

I'm already liking Kagura too. Dude looks awesome. From what I've heard he's the leader of an NOL faction that's rebelled or something. Honestly though the name sounded feminine so I was expecting a woman.

It's awesome though, 6 new characters when the console version comes around. BB has now outdone Guilty Gear in terms of character selection.

Still, I'm surprised the console version isn't coming out until October. I thought Japan would see it this summer. Hopefully us here in North America won't have to wait too long afterwards.

Does it really matter? As long as they can come up with a distinct move-set and unique functions for the alternate version of the character there's really no problem here. It's when you start getting characters that start playing way too damn similarly that we start seeing an issue.

As for an Alt. Ragna, with Bloodedge's presence it's possible, but it's arguable just how different he could be from the current Ragna. TBH I'd say Trinity Glassfield splitting away from Luna/Sena is more likely possibility right now with this Terumi announcement.

I don't think they need to come out with more alt. characters. Granted Terumi is Six Heroes so it's fine, but they have so many characters that can be made into playable that they don't need to do be lazy and do all these alternatives.

Jubei and Kokonoe had always been high demand from fans, Young Celica, Phantom, Mikado, Trinity are all plausible.

Granted, I'm not supporting alternative versions of current characters, I'm just saying it's not the end of the world with what we currently have. Presently of all 25 characters only 4 are alts and they all play differently from their "originals". There's still 21 "original" characters too, quite a lot from what BB originally had.

Honestly I think the only alt that isn't fully justified is Tsubaki's. Izayoi just kind of came out of nowhere and was never really foreshadowed IIRC. If it was though it must've been extremely obscure.

It was most definitely foreshadowed, the Izayoi was rather directly referred to as a "prototype of the murakumo unit" in Tager's story in CS.

Also, I'm honestly glad it's coming in October since that gives me time to enjoy Tales of Xillia when it comes in August. Though BBCP may steal hype away from Big Band DLC for Skullgirls possibly releasing around then.

Doubtful. Celia is Kokonoe's aunt, and she either wasn't even born yet or quite young when Celia was at that physical age. It's more likely Kokonoe resurrected her or brought her from a different time or something.
