1) You are his (or actively don't tell him flat out on his face you aren't as Saber or Iskandar did after he offered them a chance to belong to his people. He did clarify that he is kind to them, he's not lying). 2) You aren't disappointing him (as Tokiomi always does). Kotomine insults and treats Gilgamesh as his pal and he overlooks this because of those two points were met.

I expect to see exquisite artistic depictions of the magnificent dogfight between Goldy and GARserker popping up soon. : 3
Man, I dunno how ufotable does it, but they've definitely rendered the visions of the twisted visionary, Urobochi, justice. In other words, huuur duuuur that fight caused me to brain-seizure so good omgomgomg |

Ohh yeah, I forgot to give props to Tokiomi for saying his wife has a bountiful womb. I got a kick out of that. That probably pissed Kariya off a lot.
Poor Kariya... Quote:
Man, Saber's Excalibur is going to be wicked with such a strong Master. I can't wait. He's along for the ride.

Loved the episode. When it ended, I was left going "I WANT MORE!!!!!"
And as much rationalizing as one can make for Gil's jetson mobile, I find it ridiculous. Not in the story/immersion breaking kind of ridiculous, but in the "why would anyone even consider this" sort of way. Quote:

Wow that was a crazy episode. Have to say Gilgamesh vs Berserker riding a jet was just too much fun .
Of course Tokiomi and Kariya wasn't going to be a friendly conversation. Two people who will never understand each other. Have to say I'm with Kariya, sending your kid off to get completely screwed up by a psycho old man makes you a horrible person. This whole ancestors nonsense can't justify the psychological and physical torture he's put that girl through, pain he never has even given thought to. Not sure if he can handle it, but kick his ass Kariya! Of course next week should be good. Saber can't annihilate that monster until she and Lancer settles things, and by settling things Lancer needs to lose . Since Gilgamesh is busy and not interested Saber is the only one that can handle this.

I can't wait for the next week. From the preview, It looks like Saber is gonna use her sword to the full power. But after Kiritsugu saying that she cannot use it withLancer's curse and at the end Lancer saying that he trusts Saber... Just what's gonna happen...

That was so epic. The wait made it even more so.
Got a good laugh when Caster was like COOL haha, that's quite some devotion in a weird sense. Loved the ED to death, it was so beautiful Kiritsugu at the end was so evil, and i love it. Don't think i thought of it like that when i read the novel though |

Finally!
Wow, there's so much CG in this episode. Monster-Caster was so detailed and gorgeously animated. I also enjoyed the Berserker-Gilgamesh fight scene - an aerial dogfight in a magic-centric battle is win! It was also interesting to know Tokiomi's reasons for giving Sakura away, and of course, Kariya is unwilling to accept them. Ryuunosuke and Caster are despicable, but there was something sad in how Ryuunosuke died; while musing about guts and with a smile on his face. I like the new OP theme, but I'm not fond of its sequence. I was expecting it to be more action-oriented, as the war is picking up in pace. The ED sequence, on the other hand, was lovely and sad at the same time. (Why are both sequences so focused on Kiritsugu anyway...?) Overall, great episode. 9/10. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes! |
