There is a recent magazine that has Suletta and Kira (with his SEED Freedom design) in the cover. They are both smiling a lot so it's hard to be sure what actually is going on with Kira in the movie despite the teaser. That or fake marketing.

interesting that they got rid of the Freedoms stomach canon. Guess that means it really is a new model. At least it appears that they got rid of those gaudy gold joints. I wonder what happened to sf and ij.

I get why they're doing it but the CG Seed MS's is kind of throwing me off.

The Cosmic Era Gyan just kills me though .

Yup. Original Freedom looks the best among the 3 Freedoms for sure lol.
Strike Freedom looks more superior than this new Freedom at a first glance but in terms of armaments the new Freedom is more faithful to the OG.
Even though this design looks the least attractive among the 3 Freedoms I’m glad they gave back the Balaena beam canon.
Also the MA mode of the new Justice is a nice reference to Savior.
But why is Justice getting better words for the name than Freedom lol. “Infinite” and “Immortal” sounds stronger than “Strike” or “Rising”.

Also feels like the blonde character might be someone who tries to take Lacus from Kira lol.

Not a Gundam expert but I kinda prefer this version of the Freedom and Justice over the Infinite and Strike from Destiny. Then again, I have no idea how exactly are the powers of these new versions. Twitter was kinda weird like if these new versions of Freedom and Justice are actually weaker. I never liked transforming mobile suits but then again the first Gundam was a transforming mecha.

Did Kira and Athrun really trash the Destiny and Legend that much that they no longer work?

Because lore-wise, Freedom, Justice and Destiny were get hit by Junius Treaty.

Junius Treaty forbid all factions to use and develop technology based on Neutron Jammer Canceller and Mirage Colloid.
Freedom and Justice at least salvageable as none of their weapons uniquely developed from any of it but Destiny and Providence.

It almost impossible running Destiny without NJ Canceller due to Wings of Light (which based on Mirage Colloid) energy consumption.
Providence and Legend design also said to be possible because of NJ Canceller so both of them cannot simply replace their nuclear generator with regular battery compare to Freedom and Justice. People disappointed because Rising and Immortal not an upgrade but, technically, a downgrade; hoping their capabilities in middle of OG and Strike/Infinite so there's something to cheer about.



All the MA change is hinted on SEED Eclipse as roundabout way to slip in powerful tech (remember Aegis have beam cannon in MA form?) within Junius Treaty restriction.

That sounds kinda cooler now. It still sounds like marketing content but it fits with the lore of the two series in regards to what weapons should not be used.

I mean, I watched SEED and SEED/D with y'all back in the day, but I don't remember the characters being that weirdly proportioned. I think it has something to do with how they're standing. Their heads are huge and their bodies are stumpy.

They say that the new Freedom is visually based on a car from a racing anime Fukuda directed in the 90s.
