If you want to get into Hayate but don't want to bother with the manga, you ought to watch around the first 13 episodes of the first season (I believe by then most of the characters are introduced) and then watch the second season. The majority of the first season is just massive filler, and has none of the actual romance or drama elements of Hayate (which is like, half the series). |

It is really beyond me that why is those aniamtor prefer to show the anime originality instead of the manga material in the season 1...is there any reason behind this? This make JC Staff look like god among them.
by the way, I think you should watch at least 20 episode before you go for season 2 because if I not mistaken, there are few manga material among those episode like Hinagiku's Kendo arc. |

Which to watch first :D. And plot question
Hi guys. Well i had seen hayate up untill like the first 18 to 19 episodes.
Now there is a second season. To my Disapointment, i read in Anidb description that season 2 actually picks up from episode 19 in season 1 and is actually a redo. So In what order do you guys recomend me to watch it? Finish season 1 and then move to season 2 ? Or watch up untill season 1 episode 19 and move to season 2? Oh also one question on the plot. A yes or not answer would be the best as i dont want to be spoiled. Is the story line or plot/episodes are the same as season 1 since it just picks up from episode 19 or different? Yes, No or more else would do . Again many thanks for answers.

From what i see, the second season picks up where the first season deviated from the manga. None of the second season i see so far is a repeat of the first season.
As for how you should watch, it's up to you. If you only care for following the manga plot then stop and switch to the second season, however i found most eps of the first series quite enjoyable. It is more of an episodic comedy than a plot-line show like the manga and the second season, but still very funny and enjoyable. |
