^Indeed, is not lazyness. Or would you spend many chapters developing fights knowing which the outcome is.

Plus going by a process of elimination, you can more or less guess who is gonna give her a run for her money.

Yeah it is laziness, why bother intiating this scenario if you weren't going to do it any justice, you don't have to show the full battle but you at least have to give the courteously of showing the end result, the author pretty much just showed Medaka confronting people and didn't even bother showing how they ended up, and expected this to be somehow entertaining for the reader. Whats the purpose at all, why not skip the entire thing go straight to the stuff that actually matters rather doing an entirely pointless chapter.

Like I said laziness.

Of those the only 3 that could feasibly beat her are Nienami, Aijimu and Kumagawa, Aijimu by her very nature you can't really expect much of a fight, Kumagawa will be the regular character development fight and Nienami could go either way. That arc potential.

This is an issue we've had this entire manga and your expecting it to be magically fixed in this arc? Medaka has boring as shit fights that always end up being anti-climatic. We can have hope for Kumagawa and Medaka part 2 but that's the only fight I see being reasonably ok with Nienami as an unknown quantity.

This chapter was the epitome of people's main complaints against the series.
A buncha build-up, only for a flat conclusion. It's yet to be seen how it's completely concluded, but I daresay it's going to end with this.

That was an immensely uninteresting and pointless chapter. I really dislike the initial premise of this arc, so I definitely didn't want a tedious cycle through predictable, but lengthy, fights, yet, at the same time, this certainly wasn't a satisfying alternative, as it was equally dull, if not moreso. The litany of off-panel defeats was a really poor choice, in particular.

As for the remaining contestants, there not much potential for intrigue, save for a fight with Ajimu, Kumagawa, or, perhaps, by way of a slight twist, Zenkichi at the end. Otherwise, unless there's a twist that completely alters the significance of this arc (which seems unlikely), I'm not exactly hopeful for the next few chapters, especially since it increasingly appears to be the actual conclusion.

Wait til only 10 flowers are left for her to collect, then it will be when the interesting part starts. However, the final page suggests Shiranui is the first serious threat to Medaka.

As expected last week, a complete borefest of a chapter (my favorite character got one panel lol) Next chapter will also be a borefest. Till all of Medaka's battles are over it will certainly be a borefest. It will probably pick up after that...hopefully

I don't know but fighting the adults can be extremely interesting part...ya know.

Just as everyone said it, this chapter is damn anti-climatic.

Well it's setting up anticipation in my book. A filler chapter of all the opponents we've run down thus far in the series, which makes the next chapter potentially more interesting.

As everyone else has already said, it's probably Kumagawa, Anshin, or maybe Zenkichi as the last fights. Though I don't think I've seen Unzen or Nabeshima, guess they do have some importance.

I'm not a huge fan of this arc right now, but it's still early.
