Too much, if you ask me. I mean at this point, he's the main character of the franchise, which used to be Solid Snake.

You know, I really want to see Kojima try his hand at survival horror after seeing Phantom Pain

He already has a hand in hack and slash, why not horror as well?

The MGS series already has done some pretty freaky stuff along the lines of survival horror already, probably the most notorious one being The Sorrow's river in MGS3. During it you can't do anything but walk forward and avoid things. Depending on what you do earlier in the game it could be incredibly long or short too.

Actually, every MGS title has some surrealistic horror elements in it in some form.

Looks like the lack of Hayter is official since Kojima himself will explain it in an upcoming interview.

Also Hayter already stated in 2011 he had problems doing the Snake/Big Boss voice.

Given the time frame, it's quite possible Big Boss will recruit Psycho Mantis, Raven, and Gray Fox in this game. We'll also surely see Solid Snake as an 11 year old.

^That's exactly what I'm hoping for. I want the story to be highly relevant to the Metal Gear series, unlike Peace Walker which you could easily skip and not miss much.

Ocelot's presence is a good sign.

^Eva will probably also be in the game. Indeed, more Ocelot is always a good thing. I'm thinking that Kojima is going to have this whole story culminate with the last two games being remakes of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Two showdowns of Solid Snake vs. Big Boss. You'll notice that in Big Boss' story, he's slowly getting more and more corrupt and resembling himself from the aforementioned two games.

I really want to see a kid soldier Solid Snake being trained here. Guessing BigBoss was cloned while he was sleeping.

Most likely. Big Boss' sons were already born (1972) by the time of Peace Walker (1974). So this is probably the second time Big Boss has been in a coma.

This is Kojima's last game... for the fifth time.

Also Ground Zeroes will be released before Phantom Pain meaning we'll have to wait more for TPP.

Personally, I'm almost doubtful that a remake of MG and MG2 will even go the route of 2 'final' showdowns vs Big Boss.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the entire MG storyline is rewritten so that it's only about Outer Heaven, none of Zanzibar Land.

I just hope nothing is rectoned in MG1 and MG2, I'd really love to see remakes of these games.

^ Some stuff may have to be retconned. But it's not like that's a bad thing because those games lacked depth and development compared to the Solid titles. They're in need of "expansion" to better fit into the current continuity.

I heard that Kojima actually regrets not making Metal Gear Solid a remake of the first game since it already recycled elements from the first two games.

But Zanzibar was refered a lot of times in MGS1 and MGS4, that massive retcon would be very bad.

Zanzibar Land is the one rather poor point in the otherwise beautifully woven story, though. It is basically just the same thing happening there that happened in MG1. Plus, having two showdowns between Solid Snake and Big Boss in just a couple of years feels sort of anticlimactic.

I know that the MSX games were very shallow, but retconning the story by merging both games in the Outer Heaven would turn the plot in a mess, IMO. There are many references to BOTH conflicts in the Solid saga
Spoiler for MGS:

He said it was his last MGS game again?
It's a running gag at this point. See you in five years for MGS 6, mister Kojima.

Figured the two games wouldn't be coming out at the same time. That would make no sense. I'm not very interested in Ground Zeroes at the moment, since it just seems to be a direct sequel to Peace walker, which I hated.

Really? That disfigured guy has my interest. Watch him play a big part in seriously messing up Big Boss and Miller.
