Nice cliffhanger. Seeing as though Father has been covered, it's onto the friends! Ayase is nice, though it seems like there's more to her character. She's a bit too nice, plus sharing numbers with Kyousuke is a bit suspicious.
I wouldn't mind seeing Saori's appearance outside of the meetings. I hope the series will cover it. FTWincest is more like it!

Another very entertaining episode. Could Saori actually be a rich girl, especially the way she talks (types)? That was my favourite part of the episode.
And, oh yeah, I'd be ogling Ayase as well... Wonder what's with her thing for Kyousuke? |

FTWincest hits the bullseye.
Man, I think I'm taking too many animes to be able to post on AS regularly... Quite enjoyed this ep. Imagine if Kuroneko kept beating Kirino online, their relationship would probably shatter. EDIT: Yes, Meo, 'oh wait' sums it up VERY well, as mangatron will attest to that.

It's quite a nice episode, but is it just me who thinks that Kirino is getting more unbearable? I mean really, most of the problems is her fault, and when others toil themselves to suit his whims (Brosuke going out of his way to save her from embarassment with the doujinshi, even coming with her to Comiket, and Kuroneko winning the match to give her the game), she doesn’t even thank her, even blaming his brother. He is kinda at fault for simply not saying that it’s a box full of doujinshi, which leads to that unfortunate misunderstanding, but with her rushing him it makes a bit of sense if he can’t think straight at the moment. I know she’s a tsundere that can’t be honest yet, but I really wish that she’ll mellow soon. At this point I find Kuroneko to be the more interesting tsundere of the two, she’s awesome.
Oh, and I would love that Siscaly game. No, not because of the whole loli imouto with tentacles factor, but the whole “recruit your fighter by getting them into your harem” part that’s very interesting for me. Yes, it’s not the first, there’s Leaf with games like Utawarerumono and Alicesoft (which I guess is what Alice+ is referring to) with their Rance games, but for one with actual multiplayer capability over the internet should be amazing. It’s like pokemon, if the mons are replaced by cute girls and the capturing method is through dating sim. If any of you know any games like this that’s available in English, can you tell me by PM? Much appreciated. And also, there’s Ayase. She seems very nice, which makes the title for next episode a lot more suspicious as it seems like she’s hiding a secret of her own. They’re not that far away from Comiket so it’s possible that she’s also an otaku who just came from there too, but I don’t think that’s it...she does raise some flags earlier in the episode with Kyousuke though, should Manami be worried of competition? Ahh, I’m both very worried and curious about her, if this continues then I’ll have to find myself some spoiler...

While all of you are beeing fooled by the hinted wincest, i will now show you the truth. I allready gave it away in the ep1 topic, but some of you still are too stubborn to see it! Ill add these points:
- Kirino is affraid that her brother might get closer to her friends. She tries to get rid of him by making him clear more games for her. Like a swetshop employe. Is Kyosuke too close to her secret? - Kirino and Kuroneko act very tense, but ep4 proves that they care for eachother: - Kirino takes Kuro's goth clothings off her caus its way too hot. - Kuro gifts her valuable prize to Kirino - These actions are ofc covered up by beeing tsundere - Kyosuke and Saori both notice this pattern and giggle. This should be a clear flag. - Kirino and Kuroneko talk A LOT on the phone as shown in the last episodes, keeping up their tsundere temper talking about their obsessions. - Dialoge from ep4: Kanako to Kirino "I saw you talking on your phone one time, and you sounded really angry, but you looked kind of happy. And after you hanged up you had this huge smile. Its definitely a boyfriend." No, Kanako. Its her girlfriend.

For that scene I guess Kirino's was too shocked to really react immediately, but honestly, it didn't look like Kirino hated it at all, after all, Kyosuke certainly didn't. Their denial was a little too loud too.
Also, I think Kirino didn't want her friends meeting Kyosuke because of jealousy more than not. From her overbearing attitude toward him for the visit, to her gettinig fairly annoyed by Ayase's friendly overture to Kyosuke, and Ayase saying how she's just selfish, it's like she doesn't want Kyosuke getting attracted to her friends and vice versa (who are models after all), rather than simply having an embarrassing brother. Of course, I'm sure this was all obvious to the wincest shippers And tsundere Kuroneko without her black coat on..... so cute.... |

...I have no idea if I'm the oddball here, but no matter how I look at it, I can't see any "romance" vibes from this accident even a single bit.
More like the generic "accident" you can get in any harem series, although I was expecting OreImo to avoid that. Anyway, this episode confirms well one thing: Kirino is just flat out annoying in my books. I still wonder how come Kirino managed to hide about her hobbies with all the blunders she had done so far, and the fact Kyousuke has to clean her mess all the time without much gratitude is just mind puzzling. Kirino's antics are amusing, when it involves the other characters, but when it is about Kyousuke, it is just worse than any Tsundere who has her very bad mood swing full drive. Can't help but think of "the pot calling the kettle black" when she is ranting towards Kyousuke. Suffice to say, Saori was gold... and really foolish: bringing first timers to the comiket, summer one to boot? Without any battle plan? Really? I was also surprised how straightforward Kuro Neko is regarding Kirino: I was expecting her to beat around the bush like her "rival", but she is by far more honest than the little sister so heh. Regarding Ayase, I can't help but echo the same suspicious and worries of other people about her: even in an anime series, you don't have such kind of "flags" that early and what Ayase did was a tad unnatural after the incident, plus her presence very close to the Tokyo Big Sight (and considering how "realistic" the anime series is regarding the locations, it is doubtful it is a coincidence, since the Tokyo Big Sight itself is isolated with nothing to check out aside the ongoing convention). An entertaining episode, although I wouldn't mind having less rants from Kirino. Anyway, we gotta have another bombshell next week, so going to stay tuned.

For all the fanservice bits people are going gaga about, what really hits it for me is the Kiririn-Kuroneko tsundere vs. tsundere battle. Such brilliance! I had a huge grin on my face all the way through.
Why hasn't something like that appeared earlier?! |

LN illustration makes a lot more sense. He intended to protect her, not push her down. I have no idea how the hell he even managed to grope her. The wonders of anime, I guess.

My favorite part of the episode was the one taking place at comiket. Kuroneko kicks ass! She's got an amazing fashion sense too (& the nekomimi were a very nice touch). Best character in the series. As for Ayase, her exchanging numbers with Kyousuke right after they first met is a bit suspicious, especially when considering what she saw him do earlier. She's way too kind and understanding to be real, furthermore, as serenade already said, that character spot is already taken. I'm curious to know what she was doing at comiket, I doubt she's also an otaku.

Another entertaining, fun and interesting episode for this series that is quickly shaping up to be the best thing on the air this Fall. I was wondering how much longer it'd take Kirino's friends to find out about her real self. I think it's fortunate Ayase is the first of them to make the discovery as there's no telling what the twin-tail chick is going to say/do when she finds out.
Loved Saori's online persona too. Too bad we didn't get a clear look at her with those glasses off and her hair down though. 9/10 episode for me. Definitely looking forward to next week's installment of what is quickly proving itself to be the best show on the air this Fall.

Kirino not wanting Kyousuke to talk to her friends is also not jealousy, I think mostly because she doesn't has a high impression about her brother and doesn't want him to embarrass her in front of her friends. Also, it's very likely that she's afraid that he's going to reveal her otaku secret - which is silly, because despite his brother quite prone to accidents (as shown by the misunderstanding scene) all these times it's always Kirino who spoils her own secret and Brosuke who protects her. Kirino not wanting her brother to flirt with her friends is mostly because she thinks her friends can do much better, as I said she really doesn't think highly of her brother at all. Also, her being tsundere is pretty much her default personality, she's being completely tsundere with Kuroneko but it doesn't mean she actually likes her in a romantic way either, right? (at least in canon; I bet there will be a doujin of that later on, if not already). And her giving him eroge isn't brainwashing either, she just want a close person who share the same interest with her. After all, he already knows her secret already, so "in for a penny, in for a pound" as the saying goes (it is what the phrase means, right?) Yep, that's quite a nice touch there, something that I think will be less effective in a soundless medium of the original LN. I think the chances of Saori actually being rich is quite possible though; there's the way she types that you already mentioned, not to mention that she has the box of the cosmetics that even Kirino as a model can't get. Yes, I know the content isn't the cosmetics (although that giving away that many doujins suggests that she's at least pretty well-off) but the box has to come from somewhere, and I doubt that she scavenged a trash dump to find that kind of box. Also, what better way to protect your hime identity if not by disguising it behind an outlandish otaku disguise? It's not guaranteed, but it's pretty likely, I think.
