Super Bowl or Anime?

Super bowl for me. Football like this comes *gasp* once a year.

haha tough one!

I love NFL football and anime probably more than anything it this world (accept female companionship )

So hard...So tuff...but I've never missed a SuperBowl in my life (since i started watching football)...and I'd gladly miss my favorite anime before I'd ever miss the apex of sport, which is the Superbowl (Hey i can always go back and watch a missed anime ep)...So Superbowl XL FTW

Both my teams lost anyways (Colts and Panthers)...So i really don't care who wins this one, I just hope the game rocks...

Not a fan of football, so I'll have to go with the anime. I've never seen the appeal of the sport.

Now if it was the Stanley Cup finals, my vote would be different.

Football isn't my thing. I don't understand the appeal, but that's just me. I'll take anime over it any day. It's in the lead at the moment! Anime FTW!

*Wonders how long this will take to turn into a flame fest...*

Asking that in an Anime forum. 4 hardcore American football lovers? I wonder if the love for the sport comes from Eyeshield 21. Heh.

NFL propaganda to justify the network charging a billion dollars a second, or whatever the going rate for an ad is this year. 90% of the people that watch probably do so just for the commercials anyway.

Commercials for the win! I don't know what the debate is all about though... Why not just watch both? Last time I checked, there wasn't a specific time anime needed to be watched (fansubs, anyway).

Neither. You can see the ads online via Yahoo! and there are other things to do than watch visual media. (Like troll those watching the superbowl.)

Never underestimate the herd psychology of the normal 18-50 yr old male. And its probably ~2.5 million for 30 seconds. (Talk about production values. )

Try 100 million viewers for the superbowl. (That number is an upper bound world wide. Most people outside the US do not watch it nor care.) I dunno about you but I would say probably more than half the 260 million americans grew up with saturday morning television...

Doesn't this topic belong in general chat? This has absolutely nothing to do with anime. (It is pointless too.)

Your incorrect my friend...I used to work at a television station ( Sports Department) before that damn hurricane killed my job....I know alot about this stuff...The Superbowl has increased it's world-wide veiwership by 200 million in the last 10 years...Almost every non 3rd world nation sends representatives to broadcasts the game...I'll back this up with stats in a little bit after I watch a little more anime...
