i think thats the whole point of that, to create some dissonance in our minds, characters that are clearly bad but they do have good points when its related to people close to them, wich in the end just worsens their image adding selfishness but in the process those actions can make you feel symphaty towards them, good examples of that would be movies like the godfather or scarface, in manga a lot of seinen usually take that kind of characters as protagonists.

Did anybody feel that Nobunaga constantly got the short end of the stick during this arc?
- He got caught in Owl's ability and remained trapped and didn't get to fight
- He got fooled by Gon & Killua
- Couldn't join the massacre with the rest
- He got Squalla instead of Kurapika
- He got sucker punched by Shizuku and remained unconscious till Pakunoda's final moment

He really is kind of naive. He even took a liking to Gon and Killua and forgot about Kurapica for a short time.

The reason Hisoka is so damn popular isn't because of his redeeming qualities (he -really- doesn't have any), but because he is so deliciously disturbing.

Greed Island auction!
The new info about the game was interesting.
The auction itself was pretty intense.
Gon and Killua mad about their current Nen level.
At least they had great motivation for improving themselves.
Very interesting episode.

I haven't thought about it for a while, but after seeing the new OP, I'm reminded that this show WAS lacking a female protagonist, and it looks like we'll finally be getting one =03. A bit of romance wouldn't hurt either. On top of that, looks like a few of the Spiders will be getting in on the action. And even better Hisoka (^,^)! Honestly, I'm glad Kurapica is out of the way. His arc was very good, but his char is a bit too heavy in comparison to Gon and Killua.

She's the heroine HxH didn't really need, but definitely one it deserves.

I was glad to see her getting so much attention in the new OP and ED.

Speaking of the latter, I imagined no ED could ever live up to the ridiculous standard Just Awake and Hunting for your Dream set... and I was right. Still, it's not too bad. I'm just not sure if it's as appropriate for using as a transition ED that starts before the episode ends like Hunting for your Dream was, but maybe I'll get used to it.

HxH Opening 1.75? Will Madhouse ever change the song? I mean I kind of like it but it's getting tiring.

Kurapica and Leorio have not a single appearance in the opening ;_; Well, the voleyball guys at least don't look so out of place in comparison to the OVAs. Anyone noticed Hisoka's heartshaped gum?

She looks more like loli here in comparison to OVA.

I like Kurapika and I loved his arc but I do agree that we need a break from him. Sadly this arc is not much of my liking =/

I wonder when Leorio will get time to shine, he is always pushed to the side -_-
