Is there a reason for the november release for the op/ed singles rather than the october release like most other shows? I didn't think I'd have to wait so long for the ed.

Well...

1. 2nd Episode definitely looks better than the first. Episode 1 just look weird in my opinion (Especially...well, Nanami)
2. Beginning of Mashiro and her endless nonsense phrases...
3. What's with the hate of the Uchuujin? You need one to complement a Denpa Onna...okay, wrong anime...
4. Nanami...Kansai-ben FTW. Too bad she's guarantee to get the short end of the stick, sadly.
5. OP is not bad at all...
6. Still waiting for Yuuko, especially since Ogura Yui is voicing her. Can never go wrong with the imouto + Ogura combination.

I don't know if it's a reason, but I've noticed that two-cour shows tend to do this more often than one-cour shows. I suppose one reason may be that they have that much more time over which to keep the marketing effort going, so it's better to spread out releases over the entire two cours.

It's why I think the show goes a bit too over the top when it comes to portraying its characters. I do get the character concepts though, so that's where the development will most likely come from. She will most likely become her own person, if the story is worth a damn.

Not even close! Misaki for example is eccentric... Mashiro is mentally handicapped (since typing retarded hurts some people feelings). Now why Mashiro's reasoning, learning, and adapting capabilities are so compromised is another question (can be genetic, accident, upbringing, psychological trauma with varying degrees of likelihood and realism).
