There are times when I doubted that he's really good (he's amazing of course, but to win Ballon d'Or again and again?), and every time he pulled off something like this. I wish I got tow atch this instead of the Germany-Portugal game, too bad it wasn't on TV.

British media already prepared the torch on their manager even before an official match being played...

Not really surprised as they always did that in every competition. But it was still in Roy's honeymoon period, and already this bad?

Spain is using its false9 philoshopy again...
And it doesnt work very well against Italy...
Italy play so well today, and if it isnt Casillas, Spain would be down to 3-0 already...

Totally agree, Italy played deliciously in the first half.

Spain v Italy is easily the best game in Euro so far (and we are at HT only). It is a truly astonishing performance from the Italians, especially if you consider the state they were in 2 years ago. Whatever happens in Euro12, Prandelli has done an incredible job.

It worries me that Balotelli picked up an early yellow card for fouling too often. Hope he keeps a cool head in the second half (if that's possible).

I'm praying Balotelli doesn't get sent off.

Well, he's been subbed. He should have pulled the trigger on his one opportunity earlier.

I got really annoyed by the local pundits beforehand saying Italy plays defensively (stereotypes pfft) they clearly haven't watch a match under Prandelli's Italy. Glad they're proven to be wrong.

They do play defensively (3-5-2), but that doesn't mean that they are not interesting to watch, and personally I prefer it from three players passing the ball non-stop within a 5-meter radius.

That was a pretty shocking mistake by Ballotelli. And now he's been substituted so there's no chance for him to be sent off now. Pretty good game despite the lack of goals. I'm still favouring Spain though.

[EDIT]

And a minute later, Italy score. XP (Good goal though)

[EDIT]

And now Spain score.

di Natale

Balotelli needs to seriously calm down, he is hurting himself more than anyone.

... and now Fabregas, when the spanish finally added some speed to their game.

This is a very interesting match... Both teams plays a very different style of football...
Spain is utilizing total football with short pass play while Italy is a more traditional team with very direct pass to forward play...

And both team are really utilizing their advantages to the max here...

And Torres with the stupid challenge...
And he miss again...

At least in the second half the spanish stopped their Dutch/Catalan show-off style, and became much more efficient against a typically italian play-style.

A bit surprised reaction here, because the game kinda bored me out. Except the 10 minutes around the 2 goals. Maybe because i don't really support either of them?

High level football today and the most interesting match so far in a tactical sense.

Prandelli used a 3-5-2 and reinforced Italy's center against Spain's short passing down the center.

As usual Spain was very narrow. Things improved for them when Del Bosque brought on winger Navas. Italy was dominant in the first hour but seemed spent near the end. A draw is a fair result.

People still remember Trappatoni's Italy, I guess.

Yeah..damn!!

Balotelli fall asleepi screamed so much!!

Spanish played like always..great ball possession, Pirlo make a good assist for Di-Natale..and Di-Natale didn't missed the shoot..however,Silva make an awesome assist for Fabregas..

The draw, is ok for me.

But Spanish played really good,we were lucky.
