I was disappointed that Shiki wasn't shown [until the last scene] in this episode, but I thought Ichiru totally made up for it. xD I never really minded him in the manga, but the anime gave me a totally different perspective. ^^;; I know the anime kinda made him seem like a sissy in season 1, but it made me so much more sympathetic towards his situation and I like him so much more. Plus, I really liked his added scenes last season and in this episode. I hope the anime mends his unstable relationship with Zero.. it looks like it's going in that direction. ^^ The flashback when the twins were little was so cute, and it seems like Ichiru wants to go back to those days. xD I'm really looking forward to seeing what the anime can do with him, because I was a little disappointed with his manga counterpart.

I thought the animation was pretty consistent this episode, and I am sure this time [as in next episode] we will see Shiki in action. xD

Spoiler for ep 6:

Rather interesting episode. More Yuki headache and memory recovers. Ichiru plotting something. The enemy behind the scenes finally show up. Can't wait to see the next episode. Going to be some exciting fight!

This episode didn't feel too great, but it surely set the mood for the next one. Judging by the events at the end of the episode, and the title of episode #7 it seems like what I've been waiting for for a long time will finally come to pass.

As one who really likes Kaname, I found it interesting how negatively he was portrayed in this episode. Sitting there boldly as Yuuki's recognized lover, forcing Zero to stand watch, was pretty nasty. Especially with Yuuki is still so unsure and in the dark about everything.

And yes, Ichiru seems a fuller personality in the anime than I remember him from the manga.

A quick survey of all the major torrent sites and individual group sites for all the groups subbing the series doesn't agree with that statement

Thanks for that. The Chinese sub is out on bt, but English (and Spanish) only yt. How times change. Things are quicker, and in different places. Change is good. Perhaps this is the copyright compromise.

The twins are so adorable
and Yuuki is still annoying ^_^

I wanted more Shiki but this episode was not bad. The height of the story is before us the episodes rest of the episodes should be very interesting. Plus things with Yuuki and Kaname are heating up, I cant wait for Yuuki's past to be reveled and see how they animate her reaction. The manga did a great job bring out the emotion i hope the anime can do the same.

Im wondering what kind of ending we will get i dont think the manga is finished yet so are we going to get an anime original ending?

I feel a little bit disappointed with this episode after returning to this series after a short absence. I mean the previous episode put me on the verge of my seat with the suspense building around Kaname to disclose Yuukis' lost memories, but they bring that matter and leave it again in stand-by.

I hope the animators won't make the audience to wait that very long for that revelation to come.

Putting that topic aside, I also resent that the animation quality went off entirely for this episode; the colors were opaque, and the manner how the characters were drawn at random frames made them to look shabby and lanky.

Anyways, the sixth episode discuss three plot points:

Spoiler:

1. Kaname predicted and has planned before long to take advantage of Ichiru's role in this murky conspiracy. This conspiracy, to which Ichiru has been picked-up by the other party, has its aims upon Yuuki.

I don't doubt at all that it was Ichiou's master, a.k.a. Shiki's dad, who provided the tainted blood, and Ichiru was ordered to feed it to Yuuki.

2. Kaname already knows that conflict against the other party is inevitable and tried his best to put on a smile during his day-off with Yuuki, however, the atmosphere felt strained and dense.

Kaname's playboy attitude sounded too artificial and unconvincing at providing some sense of security. Furthermore, the day-off goes backfiring, because Kaname is still relunctant to reveal Yuuki the truth about her past.

Moreover, I did not like at all how Zero was reduced as Kaname's grunt or servant dog at all for this episode.

3. Ichiru continues to be in conflict between remaining at the past or moving forward to choose a different lifestyle. To me it looks, unfortunately, that Ichiru realizes it is futile to walk forward at this point and has only the active role granted by the Master for him to play.

But, nothing is lost at all.

We were given a few but more concrete glimpses of Yuukis' memories.

In fact, I presume that Cross Kaiens' ideals for founding Cross Academy, as a peaceful haven where both humans and vampires can co-exist together, are the result of his efforts to fulfill that woman's last wish, who he remembers.

My common-sense intuition tells me that woman:
1. Must had been a vampire, although not sure if she was either a Nobleblood or a Pureblood.
2. It was her last will to see the day when humans and vampires could live together in harmony.
3. She confided her will to Kaien because both were acquaintances trusting each other and good friends in secret, thus, he accepted it.
4. She died long ago, as Kaien recalled her with remorse and sorrow.

Spoiler:

That woman awfully resembles Yuuki, and Kaien recalls her holding a baby at the time which was likely their last meeting.

As more pieces of the mystery are made public knowledge and with some already falling into their proper place, I'm more inclined to comment with some certainty that the lady from Kaiens' memories was, nonetheless, Yuuki's mother.

Which irrevocably would mean that Yuuki's a vampire's child from either Pureblood or Nobleblood lineage but that won't be confirmed until either Kaname reveals the truth to Yuuki or she finds out by herself or from the enemy party.
