can you play a dual audio video on ipad?

Is there any video player that lets you switch between the audio languages? I currently have the iPad 3 and am waiting for the jailbreak so I was just wondering.

The iPad 3 was released on March 16, 2012. That's not trolling.

At any rate, I know it's possible to use Handbrake and encode a dual-audio video, but I myself have never tried to play that kind of video before.

The standard video player on the iOS supports multiple audio stream, multiple subtitles streams and even chapters.

Check out Subler, a Mac program for an idea of what an iOS compliant video file is capable of.

Having done a test myself, the iPad can play a properly encoded file without any difficulty. In Handbrake, just add the audio-streams under the audio tab. When playing it back in the iOS player, there is a small icon on the pause/play/volume control panel which allows for the audio stream to be switched. Happy watching, Ouma Shu

Looks like iOS 6 changed how it handles subtitles. It no longer does that transparent black overlay.
