It's just so hard to see those two so-called "rivals" in a single panel together...
You're kidding me... I can tell the difference at least. ... Now that I said it, that art style seems familiar, but where have I seen it?

Chapter 45 is now scanlated. It looks like the true reason for lack of updates was lack of translator... They should have asked or something? ¬¬
I still haven't read it, let's hope that the new translator doesn't mess up the terms (aka, is a novel fan). I remember 45 being interesting because it changed some things from it's equivalent on the novel and Laura had a fit. Fun fact : I initially posted this in the wrong thread since I'm stupid -_-

In order to scan, you have to "unpaste" the magazine or tankoubon, that usually gets very annoying as is usually "not really restorable" or "it will never be like it used to" if you try to put together again the book. Also in order to make a scan at a decent dot per inch resolution you might or might not need a lot of time for the scanner to work; furthermore the pic might need to be psped later.
I used to scan some artbooks that I owned, eventually I needed to get 2 copies as to scan and destroy one of them, also the process of scanning and editing page per page was a major annoyance. Bottom line? Don't whine about it, it's a big effort made for free. edit : Lately Index raws have been pretty easy to find. I'm up to date with jp scans in hand, it was the Kazakiri Hyoka arc the one that was almost impossible to find in jp before the tankoubon was out (and even then, the tankoubon hasn't been worked on).

lack of raws is never a problem because scantalation groups are always willing to get their own copies. lack of updates is almost always due to staff issues, with the lack of moon translators being at the top of them, followed by other staff getting sucked by RL. ironically, translation is the second least time consuming activity (for manga), with proofread / English edit & QC being the least time consuming. scanning, cleaning and typesetting can be extremely time consuming in comparison.

Very good to have someone else here in Brazil.
It is very boring right now the raws of chapters are not leaving, at first I thought the manga index horrible, but this manga volume 5 has improved. particularly thought the meeting with the Accelerator Last Order / 6 volume of the manga much better adapted to it in the anime. |
