Immortal character

I am looking for a anime with a plot involving a immortal character. I want something like mermaid forest. I know theres a lot of animes with at least one immortal character. I want one that deals with the troubles of being an immortal.

Nothing revealed in the first episode of an anime should be considered a spoiler.
For example, "KEIICHI KILLS MION AND RENA WITH A BAT!" won't spoil anything because it's revealed about a 2 seconds into the first episode.

Eh, I'll second Mnemosyne. It's given that in any anime where there are immortals that there will be some high level of gore content, since otherwise, having an immortal character is useless, is it not?

Kamina of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann isn't immortal in the traditional sense, but no matter if or when he dies, he will live on forever.
