Hey! I'm looking for a good romantic anime with decent plot and characters!

Have you ever tried Kanon2k6?

one of the best animated drama/romance/fantasy anime I've ever seen... w/ such a nice storyline and of course some nice characters also...

another one is

Kare Kano...

it's a bit old but still one of the best IMO... blending of funny and dramatic scenes are all nicely done... animation hmmmm it's unique you'll know if you've watched this..

w/ some ecchi...

Midori Days

Comedy/Romance/Fantasy... nice anime IMO.. very funny and kinda..... weird but honestly it is worth a try...

depressing...

Air TV

Just like kanon... well animated but this one is much more depressing IMO... still a nice and recommendable one...

for some ancient settings...

Sainkoku Monogatari S1/S2

one of the finest romance anime.... story wise... it can be consider a great one... thumbs up for this one...

and w/ some musical theme

Nodame Cantabile

funny, nice story, great characters... from the studio who brought Honey and Clover...
I recommend this one if you're fund in some musical w/ romance themes ^_^

Honestly there are too many nice romance anime... Seto, Hayate, the ongoing Clannad... oh well just wait for the others to recommend too ^_^
