I mean god, it's totally uncleared that what ever happened to those survivors. Seriously, What's the point?
So those movie critics did they watched 00 before? If not I could understand for the lack of negative reviews, on the other if one watched all the previous Gundam 00, the perspective of the movie should change for them.

And what do you mean survivors? As in survivors of the battle with ELS? That is not necessary for the ending, what truly mattered in the movie was the showcase of the character's will to live with each others. So what happens at the end is not the most important thing.

The movie I enjoyed it. The actions was top notch, it was very thrilling and fun to watch. The overall story was good. It carried on the massage from before perfectly. The ending was rushed, but still I believe that the most important point of the story wasn't the ending. The main point of the story was character trying to understand each other and through that survive, finally bring peace.

People thought it's a joke, until some stuffs from the trailer actually match with what we get in season 2. Actually at that time, lot of people were still thinking when they said "Unknown force", they mean Innovade (Ribbon and co). Alien was brought up several time, but people only counter argue it with "no alien in Gundam", or "the closest one is Crossbone with Jupiter stuff".

No one knows if this is what they planned in the beginning of season 1, but Aelion's speech is certainly about the "unknown force", or the ELS. Just take it either way you guys want.

I read some interviews way back that when Sunrise first approached Mizushima for a Gundam project, he attempted to throw in some aliens in. I guess he finally got his wish

why does the Gundam series always blame Jupiter for everything?
(e.g. Minovsky particles, Jupter fleet, Jupiter Empire, space whales, etc...)

Yeah, this movie gave me some mixed feelings, slightly thought that the ending was a big fat troll.

Ending was rushed, as if we skipped time and forgot all the details, what happened to the rest of the crew? Why did we had to go 50 years in the future? Why the sudden killing off of characters? Why did Saji had so much script by but barely did anything in the end ?

Why is the story so inconclusive?

I had a feeling Desc' would have died the moment I saw him zerging into the ELS, incredibly underused! Reminds me of Devastator or Demolishor from Transformers 2.

And most important of all;

WHY DID GRAHAM HAD TO DIE!

My expectations were off the charts for the movie, so I'm giving this a 7.

I'm honestly disappointed ....it just didn't felt finished, I'd honestly don't care if the movie took more then 10 hours to watch, but if it's because of the budget size I'd be so pissed off.

I mean god, I missed 1st Lockon, Christina & Litchendal.

And why the hell let Andrei Smirnov & Graham Acre died?!

At last, poor Graham Acre, all of his Brave pilots & Andrei Smirnov. They will be missed.

And so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A dark knight.

To show how much of an Immortal Patrick Colasour is. No matter how he tries the Valkyries would never chose to take him to Valhalla.

One of my theories was to stop the ELS was to blow up Jupiter and that Setsuna would die in the process, guess they went a different route.

Poor Jupiter. Why do you have to be so big to have all the blame...

Oh definitely. The thing is, though, that they were so far from Jupiter by that point that it wouldn't have done anything useful.

Because it gives us nothing but trouble in sci-fi?

Disappointing movie. Was hoping it would be better than it what it turned out to be. At most it's a 7.5 out 10 but it's really more of a 6.5. Had more enjoyment watching Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie than this. Now that movie left me with a smile.

idk dude all the male characters pretty much have the exact same face with different skin tone and hair. At least in K-On they got slightly different eyes.

I can't even understand. K-On has way more similar face design than Gundam 00, and you can distinguish it's better? The only different one compare to other is Mugi, and it's all thank to her eyebrows.

Are you sure it's not because you've already watched 3 whole seasons of K-On, and only 2 hours of Gundam 00?

Even the grunt in Gundam 00 has different face to each other.

probably because I haven't watched 00 since 2009

And k-on had like less than a dozen characters. 00 probably had more =P
