Yea something strange is going on around here...

All the talk about how the school was similar to a farm,

the story about how it's forbidden to go past the village's barrier.

The way Saki's mom was freaking out about her not developing her powers.

Also all the kids like Reiko going missing and no one seems to notice or ask why.

As well as them "cats" creeping around.

In this kind of story, it's usually an indication that he'll go psycho and lose all control over his powers. Either that or he's the big bad of later arcs.

He doesn't seem any worse than the other kids -- other than Saki, they all seemed to be hoping that Reiko would disappear, and they all accept the craziness of the school.

I think the system weeds out the really dangerous types. If "gravitation" is the dangerous thing, then that's sealed before they go to another school. If it's sealed and they can't do anything with the fire, then they're prob no good to whoever is running that place as it doesn't look like it has human guards.

I think that Reiko was really strong in gravitation and weak in other parts like projection. I think that Sako seeing the Cat of Impurity means that she also is really strong in gravitation and it's not fully sealed. She was saved in the test by also being strong in the other parts like projection. Maybe she's the Kurapika of this title.

First epi has good potential. Creepy factors, creepy cat. Shun is definitely a jerk. I wasnt totally suprised Reiko disappeared since she was obviously struggling. Im liking the vibe from this a lot. Will stick with it.

Interestingly, I didn't see Shun as a jerk at all - and that's why one reason why I suspect him. He seems too nice, too competent, too beatifically mellow.

Couldn't agree more, the show really gives of a special kind of vibe, which I dig a lot as well. The music and art were great and the whole premise also seems quite interesting.

I don't know what I should expect of this Anime, but ep1 was quite enjoyable, ED was pretty awesome too. Looking forward to ep2

Satoru, yep. Because he's such an abrasive kid I do trust him (apart from the fact that he's going to be voiced by Kaji soon). This series seems too subtle for someone like that to be a true baddie.

I actually expect Shun to be an early victim. He has that certain air of acceptance about him that usually signals a death flag.
