If it hasn't been mentioned already I'd like to bring up a doujin called "All About the Lyric". It's a Rika-centric collection of stories focusing on her interactions with her friends (and Akasaka). It's can be found in downloadable form on the web and it's also up on Danbooru (mostly; two pages can only be seen with premium membership for some reason). I highly recommend it.

Danbooru has it translated, and I found a translated version on the web through a basic Google search.

Thanks again, the translation seems to be very good and the stories are really interesting, diving deeply into the philosophy of the Higurashi world. I will need to read some of them again to work out an interpretation.

Guys, it looks like they're using the wrong cover for the final frikkin' volume of the English Higurashi release! D=>

I saw this on Amazon:

They combine the last two volumes so this one is originally volume 7 and 8 in the Japanese tankoubon.

But this this is what should be the final cover of Matsuribayashi:

What's the best way to tell them this?

Btw, if you can, help spread the word. YenPress absolutely need to fix this! >_<

Spam their twitter or something like that. I really doubt that you can change anything though. Not only they are probably deadly set on that cover, it might be to late to inform the press of the change (let alone make the actual file for the new cover).

I think it's not totally wrong to have Major Takano on the cover because the first volume of Matsuribayashi-hen had young Miyoko. So the last volume shows what she has become in 1983. Even though it looks like the story would end in darkness, the choice is comprehensible. However, I also like the other image very much.

Was wondering what higurashi manga/doshin out there that people are interesting in seeing but hardly anything known about it? I was thinking of purchasing some new higurashi stuff but figuring what might be a worthy buy. I would like to buy that pachinko machine but probably need help filling that sort of order if it is even allowed to be bought for overseas?

I'd like to ask: why can't I find chapter 6 of Tsumihoroboshi-hen and chapter 15 of Matsuribayashi-hen? Are they dropped? If so, could someone scan the official English manga? I only have the japanese raws, and I don't speak japanese.. ://

You can legally get all of Higurashi's main volumes from Yen Press. You can even get them digitally now, with a few extra color pages, on Kindle, Nook, etc. And it's a worldwide digital license, I believe.
