True. Kallen did love him. Too bad that Lelouch decided that he was DEAD since the day he was born. After all, Emperor Charles did say that to him, which destroyed his entire childhood. Thus, he dedicated himself into doing what was right: To give his sister a better world, and to make the world hate him because Lelouch hated himself. One can't have a normal relationship with such thoughts in his mind. Can he? Thus, Lelouch felt the best path to take was DEATH!

4. His friends are ok

True. The real question is would Kallen had taken that path as well? Or, would her older brother had been willing to do the things that Lelouch had done to acheive his objective? I my opinion, neither of them would have taken things to the extreme with regards to uniting the world against them.

To be fair had the Black Knights not betrayed him, he'd never have found himself in the position to stop Charles (outside of SRW) so Villetta unknowingly saved the world.

Who's to say that was the case? Lelouch may have still had his mind on finding Charles, given that Schneizel and Suzaku did at that very moment, plus the Ragnarok Connection depended on Lelouch remaining separated from C. C. long enough for Marianya to get to her.

Yeah but that was only because they called him there. Assuming Schinizel left and they just left him alone for the moment, he'd somehow have to get his wits together and then decide to go after Charles, when at the moment he wasn't aware Charles was about to do anything that needed dealing with. So unless he comes to large amount of conclusions prompting him to immediately get his act together and attack Charles ASAP......he probably wouldn't have made it in time.

kallen got one of the worst treatment in the show

i'd rather see kallen x euphemia rather than anyone pairing with lelouch

Again, that also depended on who got to C. C. first.

Besides, Lelouch would have to figure something's up for Schneizel to just up and leave all of a sudden.

Shirley was no way paired with Suzaku.
Suzaku and Euphemia are cannon pair.

Woah there broly, I don't think there was anything in the series that showed any love interest between Suze-Q and Shirley.
Euhpie was Suzaku's main squeeze, which is why Lelouch killed her...she stood in the way of his true love.

Actually I have settled on the CCxLelouch pairing after over 31 viewings of both series.
The problem is that in R2 the creators were pandering to the Kallen fans, they should have paired her with someone else and after some considerable thought I am of the opinion that Suzaku actually would have been the best choice in the finale.

We saw some of Suzaku's feelings about Kallen in both S1, when he tells her they are still friends even though he knows she pilots the Guren, and in R2 when he cannot bring himself to use Refrain on Kallen.
We also see sexual tension between them in S1 on Kaminejima Island.
Their relationship reminds me of the love between Four Murasame and Kamille Bidan.
Or better yet, Millia Fallyna and Maximillian Jenius from the original Macross TV series.

They about killed each other in combat, then fell in love.

Besides Kallen x Lelouch, I always felt that Milly x Lelouch was an interesting option. But we never saw that potential relationship get off the ground past season one. Such a shame to not see the Ashford connection with Lelouch aside from him destroying the Britannian Aristocracy that actually freed Milly from her marriage obligations to restore her family's Noble Status.

Suzaku refused to use the Refrain on Kallen only because he "didn't want to be like Zero". Not arguing against the other reasons, but there were as many if not more arguments in favor of her and Lelouch.
