Yammi's powerup might really just be an excuse to have Unohana fight since she's the only captain we haven't seen done so, but what could drive her to fight? She's a pacifist through and through.

On a side note, this plot twist is lame, Lelouche first used the trick of Zero in elite squads so it really doesn't surprise as much as it would have if it were original.

I think he wrote himself into a corner... I mean, after all, about half the Espada are defeated now and they still have buckets of insanely powerful captains... Not one of which has been defeated in this arc, IIRC.

This deus ex m... plot twist is just a way to escalate things. If Yammy somehow is able to win a couple of fights more than the other Espada, I might be able to not think about it. If he's defeated within the next few chapters, then that's just saddening.

Yammy is entitled to be at least a little strong too since he is an Espada, but making someone like Yammy who seems to be the weakest Espada into the strongest? That kind of jump is just plain irritating. With Ulq. having a second release form and Yammy apparently having the strongest release form, how are Espadas 1-3 suppose to compare?
What I have been expecting and waiting for was an all out battle between the 13 protection squad captains and the most powerful members of the Espada.
Are we just suppose to accept that instead of the 3 strongest Espada accompanying Aizen at the moment are actually not the strongest 3 and the most powerful of the Espada is just hanging back in Hueco Mundo?

Unless Aizen suddenly goes "lol just shittin u all gin n tousen r rly my arrancar betches" and reveals the nrs 1, 2 and 3 on their bodies as Stark, Halibel and that weird old fat man loses them and dies in the act of doing so, I will cry myself to sleep on friday.

i think yammi is like a version of las noches kenpachi (althought kenpachi is pretty smart when he wants), simple minded and raw power only (his unreleased state might be his biggest weakness, and therefore he was nunber10, and once he release he is the strongest espada, therefore only the 0).... i like this plot twist, i was waiting for a twist much time ago! finnaly kubo is back, now lets see some captains vs espada 0 (looks like halibel didnt made her way to the top3 e spada

lol, if Yammi is actually the strongest Espada how come Aizen didn't even acknowledge his existence? He didn't bring him to the big fight and he didn't leave HM in his hands. Maybe he's actually so strong that Aizen can't even control him
