I watched both anime series first. I never read manga at all until recently (I actually read it during my down time at work which has been a lot after the holidays) and I eventually decided to read it since I've heard how much better it is. And boy is it better. lol.

... I didn't learn about the anime until I started reading SII

translation: I've been reading the manga since long before the anime aired... hence why the last part of s1 and almost all of Capu2 has made me want to hang myself (well, first the executives at GONZO, then myself)

Read this 2 years ago, waited ages/long weeks for manga chapters to get translated until it got some more attention when its anime got aired. Though I stopped a bit because I kind of forgot about it . Read it again to finish s1 last Christmas, then I'm in s2

Watched the 1st episode thought it was so-so but I heard the manga was better so I decided to check that out and pretty glad I did as it was infinitely better then the anime.

I read the manga first and then watched the anime. The manga is way better than the anime.

Its probably better to watch the anime first since you'll only be disappointed after reading the manga first. The first season wasn't that bad since it did follow the manga but the second only took a couple of things from it.

disregard the fact that this relates to the futurama tv show but the product "torgos executive powder" would come in handy imo

most of the RV anime was rather painful to watch but atleast we have a awesome manga to follow. i placed an order for vol 6 today so it shouldnt take too long to come in .

season 1 was painful because they eventually diverged from the manga. se2 was agonizing for the most part as they did the bathroom ep rather well considering their track record for accuracy. im just glad that the season came to an end.

I read the manga because the 1st season was completed and I wanted to read a completed vampire series.. of course, at that time, I had no idea there was a 2nd season... but then it had already caught my interest...

I've never seen the anime but well... I don't feel really motivated xD

I read the manga first and discovered the anime later. I never even got past the first few episodes of the first season, it was that bad. The animation was decent but the story is horrible. 'Monster of the week'... ugh.

Well I the anime plot was really bad, I mean beyond bad. But the fan service was pretty decent so thats the only thing that got me watching it too the end.

not 100% true. dragonauts was 200% disaster, RV anime was only 99% disaster for the rare times they got the material correct. it also provided us with colorpics/gifs of our favorite manga series however warped it became between the paper and the tv.

Hmmm, IMO, R+V anime is not really that disaster if your sight as a new viewer of Rosario + Vampire... It is because of us that have already read the manga first, so we said it is pure disaster. I have many friend that never read the manga and watch the anime, they all said it is rather good, you know

But, indeed, the anime is still horible, but not a complete failure if you ask me :P

For me, i love both of them, anime and manga, haha
