I'm a bit late to chime in on all this, but I just finished watching The Wrestler, and it was a great movie.
I'll still go with The Dark Knight as the movie of the year, but damn, The Wrestler gave me something great from a genre I usually wouldn't give a second glance. I recommend even people who hate wrestling with a passion give the movie a chance.

It is amazing that Slumdog Millionaire is getting an attention that I haven't expected from the Academy. Hopefully, with the way things are going, it will take the best movie award too. And, this year's show is much more focused, I guess almost removing the comedian effect put back the focus on the movies, and the music and performances were wonderful as well (and welcome to the reality from the world of anime).
Yep, it is coming, with the best director... (knocking on the woods) And a loveable ending to a great show...... Last edited by Sazelyt; 2009-02-22 at 23:55. |

It's a done deal. "Slumdog" wins. Congratulations to India and to Danny Boyle. Here's the lowdown on the winners: http://edition.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/...ist/index.html Hmmm... it took Winslet 10 years to win Best Actress.
