I'm worried, could it affect this manga?
Lets not let that nonsense affect all the threads, eh? there are already two threads in General Anime for it.

This series is seinen, meaning it is not targeted at children to begin with. The only genre in some potential crosshairs are the rather large "shounen" genre with significant alarm flags and the "yaoi"/"yuri" subgenre.
The mainstream press and the national Prime Minister are already drawing crosshairs on the bill. It isn't a "manga ban" (that's tabloid hyperbole) but it *is* quite a stifle if left unchallenged.

Finally picked up the third volume. The art is as nice as ever, and we got to see Holo's wolf form.
I noticed I tend to have tea whenever I read Spice and Wolf. It is pretty relaxing IMO.

Well I hate to say it, but it looks like there WILL NEVER be an English release of the S&W Dengeki Comic Anthology.

Yen Press is jumping straight to Volume V of the manga after Volume IV.

If anyone has any information that would suggest otherwise...

Vol.6 is out in Japan and looks like it wasn't really effected by the new law

Spoiler for NSFW photos by Earl.Box:

Looks like it has the end of season 1 and Wolf and the Amber Melancholy(OVA). But I saw some differences from anime and novel already. Can't wait for translation in my country!
And I was wrong. Mature rank in US is ok
Spoiler for one more photo:

Well of course the rating is okay... I have no problem with it, buuuut I do not care for the "Mature Warning" built into the cover. It ruins the feel of the cover!

Can't wait for Volume IV and V to get done so I can see Volume VI!

I still hope Yen Press decides to get/do the Dengeki Anthology!

The bonus card of each bookshop about the volume VI is as follows.

Spoiler for :
Since an illustration is not released before a release date, it is a bet to choose the shop which I should preorder.

My copy of the English Version of Volume IV came in the mail today... a nice surprise after a long day of taking call and admitting suicidal people to the psych unit!

Holo can turn any rough day into a wonderful one... she really did save my day!

Once again I learn my lesson of never ordering new from RightStuf. Still waiting for my items from them, so now it's a race to see whether Amazon or RS can move the apple cart faster.

Had no idea the artwork in the manga was so good. Really good stuff, might have to start buying the manga.

Actually, RS did me right this time... Of course, I did order it in February!

That is probably THE ONLY reason I got it early/at a reasonable time.

Most things I order from them come relatively quickly, but new items, especially pre-orders, take forever to even leave the warehouse. I guess I should take this as a sign that Spice and Wolf, and other things I order, are really popular. So I guess I should be thankful, but somehow, I'm not.

Yeah I was also surprised. The artwork is generally of a really high quality actually; a lot of detail etc; which I realised as I began reading my copy whilst on holiday. I'd got them for Xmas but hadn't had a chance to read them.

Probably going to end up collecting the manga now too; as obviously each format's representation of the events and the characters is very slightly different.
