Hopefully you are! Miketsukami's the man, you should give him a chance. :[

In the end, I LOL at how these two get together. If only Kagerou hadn't assigned Miketsukami to wrote all those letters. Love how this series ended, and I don't mind a possible second season.

The difference between Kagerou and his mother is amazing....

And each time Karuta speaks is a danger to those with cardiac issues

I wouldn't mind a second season.

Not a bad way to end things. I like how they showed some cute intimacy between Ririchiyo and Miketsukami.

This has been a really polarizing watch for me. In lieu of an actual review, I'll just list the pros and cons, as I see them.

Pros.

Ririchiyo. Ririchiyo is a great leading lady. Her tsundere personality is very unique. She's sort of mean, but not intentionally so, she just can't help herself. Her rage also doesn't manifest itself in violent ways, which is a plus. Her voice is fantastic, her lithe figure very graceful and her inner thoughts make her easy to empathize with, and easy to adore. She also manages to embody both classical beauty and a moe cuteness.

Episode 11.
This episode really stood out. Not only did it finally give us some much-needed backstory on Miketsukami, but it was also excellently directed and paced, with some evocative narration by both Miketsukami and Ririchiyo.

Humor. While this isn't a consistently funny show, it has great chunks of humor in every episode. Kagerou is wildly entertaining, my sides particularly split when he pronounced the carpet a masochist and started stepping on it "to give it what it wanted." Karuta is also pretty funny, and Sorinozuka's voice is a fantastic comedic tool.

Cons.

Miketsukami. I'm going to be blunt here; Miketsukami is dull. For the first ten episodes, his presence was unwelcome. He was predictable, uninteresting and rather annoying at times. He's probably more enjoyable on a rewatch, knowing his backstory in advance, and does get much more likeable in episode 11 and 12, but on the whole, he did a great deal to sabotage my viewing experience.

Boring middle. This show started off fairly well, and ended on a great note, but what came in between was forgettable. It wasn't horrible, or even mediocre, it was just plain and felt a little drawn out. I wish there would have been a little more excitement, or at least more comedy.

The rest of the cast.
The characters in this show were the definition of "mixed bag." I've mentioned my like for several of them, but the rest were either boring, or annoying. Nobara was little more than a running gag, and a bad one at that, and the same goes for Natsume. The big-chested, dense maid was the worst offender, and should have been left out entirely.

Overall, I found the show pretty enjoyable. Its selling points outweigh what I perceive as its flaws, but not overwhelmingly so. Ririchiyo is a very lovable and memorable lead, so I might recommend the series to someone based on that alone, and for someone who finds Miketsukami more tolerable than me, this might be a great watch.

I rather enjoyed the show as a whole, and for me was one of the two "surprises" of the past season.

Although I also agree things got rather slow for a few eps, it was not enough to discourage me from continuing to watch the series.

After ep 1 I was interested to read the manga, and did so before ep 2 came out. So I kinda knew some of the back story behind Miketsukami and generally enjoyed his presence - dunno if the manga helped that or no.

Anyway, overall I would give the series a 7.5/10 vote.

I absolutely adored the ending. It's one of the only pairings that I "D'AAAWWW" 'd out loud at. so cute. It was clever how they got together.

None of the characters were annoying to me, maybe because of the manga. One thing that differentiates the manga from the anime is that I see the manga more straight-forward and the anime dragged a bit (probably they did this in order to stop at the start of chapter 10). I think that Ririchiyo and Soushi's confession or Soushi's past have revealed quite early for a series with romance (for example, the anime (not read the manga) of Kaichou wa Maid-sama had 24 episodes and we didn't get to know anything about Usui)

Anyway chapter 15 has been translated for a while now and that chapter is where things start to get interesting plot-wise (I find a shame that although there are other forums which talk about it, this forum doesn't have much manga readers and the ones who do read it won't discuss it in the manga forum).

Well, the anime has been popular enough that there is a high quantity of fanart and cosplay pictures (people really love cosplaying as Zange):

Spoiler for Ririchiyo, you'd better not do that to Soushi...:

It's all up to the producers. If they want to make a second season, we'll know eventually. It can take a few months, a year, or even longer.

Volume 2 of Inu X Boku did 11K combined:
Blu-ray
*8, *5,608 *5,608 Inu x Boku SS vol.2 Limited Edition

DVD
*5, *5,735 *,**5,735 Inu x Boku SS vol.2 Limited Edition

Hmm, at it selling slightly more on DVD than BD. A very good portent for a 2nd season, I'd say.

And only slightly less than the first volume in its first week, even. This looks very promising.
